If someone can give me timecodes, I can make a gif. Otherwise it's too much work.free_cat wrote:jiopsi wrote:There is a gif in my post, if you mean that?free_cat wrote:Wait a second.... no gif?

Timecodes? In the Isaac Cuenca thread I posted a video with his plays and the minutes, if that's useful.

Re: How good is Messi's passing and vision?
I really do believe that Xavi apart, there isnt a better passer in world football. His competition are all in the Barca team and imo he is the second best.(Its truly incredible that we have the five best passers on the planet playing on our team )
Long, short, throughballs, chipped, flicks,he can do it all at an elite level.
It was funny reading some comments from Stoke fans trying to justify why CR is as creative as messi.
Apparently the only reason Messi's passing is this good,is because there are people making runs!!!!!!!!!!
What a stupid line of reasoning. How is he supposed to make a throughball if another player doesnt make a run???
Back on topic, the reason he has gotten so good is because he has taken a leaf out of the maestro's book.Like Xavi,Messi's head too is constantly on a swivel. As a result his vision has improved tremendously and thats why he is able to make such passes.Once he has vision of the field, with his technique making the pass is relatively easy.
Obviously his head is not on a swivel as constantly as Xavi who is just a freak in that regard.Still its one significant improvement I have noticed about Messi over the past 1 year.

Yep, could probably be right. He used to head down and dribbling a lot, more focus in the area around him, now he slows down, deeper, looks and make the plays

He really is a genius. He might not be having a good game but still comes up with some spectacular assists.

Re: How good is Messi's passing and vision?
Yep, love Alves' cross, close range cross, looks so good on replay Hes really improved his crossing.
Messi assist was good, but u see how he always wants to make the pass or shot with his left foot when he could take it with his right. I remember a time when his right foot was used more often than nowadays? Would prefer him to be more better with his right foot, but maybe Im too demanding
And Sanchez should be praise for his finishing lately~

Re: How good is Messi's passing and vision?
Besides his goals, created an insane amount of situations, passing and overall play was masterful. Probably his best performance for me, ever.

Re: How good is Messi's passing and vision?
I'm hesitant to agree on best performance ever but I'm sure it's one of his best of course. I feel like with an ounce of luck he could have had by far the best performance of his life by far.

Re: How good is Messi's passing and vision?
Yeah, definitely one of the best. It's was a different kind of performance, say like vs. Arsenal or Zaragoza, where the goals were more magnificent, but in this game his overall play was glorious.
