BBC's initial info was £12m which is fine by me.
We are still well covered in midfield so all I'm hoping here is that Meireles has average time at Chelsea.

a note to Chelsea fans...don't get pissed off everytime he pulls outta a 50,50 situation ....but his ball retention will be missed. Hopefully hendo will step up, he is a very similar player and much younger with potential to become even better.

If Chelsea seiously think Meireles is their answer to opening up tough defenses, they are in for a rude awakening.
He is better than ramirez as b2b though as he actually moves when he passes. great in ball retention, but shit in tackle.

I think, Lamps, Raul and Mikel form a intresting midfield with defined roles and a litle bit of everything you need in there. Mata and Danny Sturridge playing as wingforward and giving the creativity, 1 v 1 ability, speed and general artistry with the lone striker in Drogba. Sounds good.
Of course, Torres will probably play over Drogba, but still, the rest if good in my opinion.
