Nothing more than average, he is not the worst guy ever but he isn't enough at crunch times. Basically he is not a guy who can control the midfield.

To be fair, he does play deeper at Chelsea than he did at Liverpool thus hasn't been as prolific. Was signed for depth though, and has done well when called upon. To Chelsea fans, has he played in the Lampard role before?

^ Lampard role as in having 2 deeper behind him then yeah I think he's played with Ram & Romeu/Mikel slightly deeper behind him, think he did good too can't really remember now hmm
