Pellegrino sacked. Unai Emery was sacked by Spartak as well earlier in the week. Both managers conceding 5 goals in their last game.

Very sad for Pellegrino, wish he could've done better for VCF since he's a legend at the club. I like the guy a lot. He is Rafa's pupil and I hope he does well elsewhere.

Well at least Valverde seems competent for this Valencia. No suprises against PSG, though. *sigh*

Valencia for sale and more
Valencia coach Ernesto Valverde has suggested Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is a more complete player than Radamel Falcao.
Los Che travel to the capital to face Diego Simeone's side this weekend, and Valverde has warned that Brazilian Costa could prove more of a threat than the Colombian hitman.
“It seems we all know the characteristics of our opponents," said the 49-year-old coach in his pre-match press conference.
"We will try to counter Falcao and Diego Costa and the intensity of Atletico, but it is not always possible.
“Diego Costa is in great form. He can lead the team, as can Falcao, but he also has the ability to not lose the ball.
"Perhaps he is even a bit better than the Colombian."
Valverde added his belief that Simeone has instilled much of the competitive nature of his playing days into the current Atletico side, who currently occupy third place in the Liga table.
"He was a tough player who gave so much character to Sevilla when I confronted him on the pitch," he said of Simeone.
"The impression I have of him and Atletico is they are a translation of Simeone as a player."
Valverde acknowledges that catching Atletico in the table is all-but impossible, insisting he is focused on the fourth and final Champions League spot.
“Even if we win they will have a 12-point lead. It will be very difficult, almost impossible [to catch them]," he added.
"I am thinking towards fourth place, that is what we are fighting for.
"To be third, we would have to do everything perfectly and hope that they suffer a meltdown."

Re: Valencia Thread
Even the best players aren't good at everything and someone who isn't the best could have something that the best player doesn't have. However that doesn't make him better, but more useful in a certain situation.

Easy..... score goals and you get hyped no matter how scrubby you maybe.
See Michu.
Also there is not a single thing Diego Costa is better than Falcao at to be considered "more complete"

He's got only 6 league goals. That's not even a decent return for an average striker. Most of his goals have come in Copa del Rey.

Re: Valencia Thread
Thread only proves people don't watch Atletico games.
Costa is definitely a more complete player even though Falcao is the better striker.
Fluke-cao stans really need to stop exaggerating the man's talent.

LOL
The village fool speaks again.
A fluke which has already lasted longer than Torres entire career
I dont care what "more complete" even means, but to say Costa is better than Falcao is down right foolishness.

Re: Valencia Thread
Considering the fact that I am probably the only one here who watches my team consistently, I can tell that Diego has been in better form than Falcao. Falcao is a WC player and Diego Costa at his best can only be a good player. There is a huge difference in terms of quality but Diego Costa has been good for us.
Gil, I dont know if you do watch Falcao or not, but he is not a fluke at all. He elevates our team to a different standard. For example, Real madrid without Ronaldo is still a very very good team, but definitely not elite (imo). Same with Atleti, Falcao makes the difference when we need him. Now you might say he doesnt perform against Real etc, but then our team never really creates any meaningful chances against them, so he hasnt been able to shine.
After Forlan, Falcao has definitely been our most talented/best performing player in the last 5/10 years ( more so than Kun or Torres).

Regarding Valencia, they are just shit, no other way to put it. Terrible management, underperforming players, and will continue to go down.

Re: Valencia Thread
Rafa should go back.
@Stevie: It's a bit unfair to compare Falcao and Aguero. They're playing in two different teams and Aguero was still developing at Ath. Madrid. Falcao pretty much came in his prime.

Defence and Midfield is average at the very best and the attack is no better than what Barca and Madrid has.
