Re: Loan Watch Thread
Anyone seen Jenkinson vs Man Utd?
Guy looked like Cafu on roids
Hopefully he can gain a starting place after a couple of good performances from the bench, he's settling quite well.

Yeah, he had a quality cross to Nolan for that stoppage time offside goal.

Unless he scores 40+ for MK Dons.
Afobe scored twice at the weekend bringing his goal tally to 15 in 20 games for MK Gods.

Re: Loan Watch Thread
Carl Jenkinson really enjoying himself at West Ham, says he knew he had to leave on loan because sitting on the bench was 'driving him up the wall'
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/dec/19/west-ham-carl-jenkinson-arsenal
We've got an interesting situation on our hands with Debuchy good enough to start and Bellerin showing why he's so highly rated.
Do West Ham have an option to buy Jenko?

Re: Loan Watch Thread
If we get a good offer I think we will sell. I would keep him for depth but he's not going to want that any more after playing regularly so we're better off selling him while he has high value.

Re: Loan Watch Thread
Young midfielder Kristoffer Olsson has signed for FC Midtjylland on a permanent basis.
The highly-rated Swede has been on loan with the Danish club since the beginning of the season, but reports in his home country say that he’s now signed a three and a half year deal.
In a press release, the player said, “This is a club that believes in me and sees my potential.
“This is is a hungry club on the way up. I feel the same way, and therefore I believe that this is the right decision for me. In addition, playing time is important to me right now, and there will I get that here.”
It was always likely to end up this way with the player admitting earlier in the month that Arsenal had no problem with him leaving.
Best of luck to him.

Rated him highly in his youth days. He will go far just like Nordveilt and Ozyakup. Won't be surprised if he is in Bundesliga within the next few years

Re: Loan Watch Thread
By Dave Evans, West Ham United correspondent at the Newham Recorder
"It is safe to say that Carl Jenkinson has been one of the big success stories at Upton Park this season.
"Having suffered a hamstring injury in pre-season, when he finally secured his place in the starting line-up it enabled Sam Allardyce to launch his new formation to great effect.
"With Jenkinson on one flank and fellow full back Aaron Cresswell on the other, Jenkinson has become an integral part of the team.
"Both he and Cresswell provide the width and most of the crosses in West Ham’s diamond formation and that has resulted in a clutch of headed goals this season.
"He has suffered one or two hamstring niggles during the campaign, but both in defence and in attack, he has been something of a revelation and one of the first names on the teamsheet."

Re: Loan Watch Thread
Bordeaux have claimed that Yaya Sanogo has agreed to join them on loan, but the French side are waiting for Arsenal to sanction the deal.
The club’s President, Jean-Louis Triaud, told Soir de Foot that, “We are working on the arrival of Sanogo. He wants to come to us, it’s a certainty.
“The goal is to have him for Monaco [who they play on Sunday]. We asked for Arsenal keep us informed. They had given me as a response date of Tuesday or Wednesday. I explained that I prefer Tuesday.”
While the Ligue 1 side could certainly offer the young Frenchman first team football, Arsene Wenger said after the FA Cup game against Hull that he’d prefer him to go on loan to another Premier League club in order to get him further accustomed to the English game.
The question is whether or not there’s any interest in England for his services, and whether or not he might best be off just playing regularly one way or the other.
Anyway, it seems as if Bordeaux will get an answer sooner rather than later, so we’ll see what happens.

Wenger wants to send Sanogo on loan, preferably to a PL club. Said it again at pre-Stoke.

Re: Loan Watch Thread
Benik Afobe has completed a permanent move to Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old forward has been on loan at MK Dons since the start of the 2014/15 season and scored 19 goals in 30 games for the League One side, including a brace against Manchester United in the League Cup in August.
Thought he would maybe get a last chance at Arsenal but it seems as it wasn't meant to be. Good luck to the lad. Hope he reaches half the potential he had in FIFA 12

Inter Milan 2-0 Sampdoria
Lukas Podolski played the full 90 minutes of Inter’s Coppa Italia victory over Sampdoria. Xherdan Shaqiri opened the scoring after 71 minutes before Mauro Icardi struck with three minutes remaining to secure the hosts’ place in the quarter-finals.
