The AC Milan Loan/Co-Own Watch Thread
Though I should have started this earlier in the season, i'll give a quick update on some of our boys performances.
Simone Verdi - Torino
While he and Oduamadi are considered the wonder kids of the club, Torino has struggled to show their confidence in the pair. Experienced and established players have too often been chosen over the former Rossoneri duo. Verdi unfortunately also suffered an injury which kept him out for 1 month and half.
Verdi was, however, pivotal in the sides 1-0 over a stubborn Livorno as his corner set-up Alessandro Parisi's half-volley match winner in the 80th minute. Verdi also put in a commendable performance against the old home of Stephan El Shaarawy's Padova
The goal can be seen at 2:27 and Verdi's first appearance can be seen from 2:02

Marco Fossati - Latina
My favourite of the lot, Our Barcelona B scouted Fossati was loaned to Serie C Latina. Though it is hard to find information on him, I have found that he put in an admirable performance against Syracuse as he set up the sides goal in a 1-1 draw. He was also shown a yellow card.

Didac Vila - Espanyol
After a quiet start to his life at the San Siro, Didac has comfortably established himself as Espanyol's LB. His consistent performances in defence and attack have not gone unnoticed as he has been linked with an earlier than expected return to Milan. Didac is, however, expected to see out the rest of his season long loan at the Spanish side.

Alexander Merkel - Genoa
After his eye-catching performance against league-leading Juventus (can be seen below), Merkel went on to impress in the sides 2-1 victory over AS Roma. His touch and go passing style has been effective in the functioning of Genoa's midfield as his co-owned contract between Milan and Genoa has proved beneficial in his development as a player

Gianmarco Zigoni - Avellino
The towering hitman has impressed in his time at Avellino with 2 goals in 10 appearances (many of these appearances have been 5 minute cameos). Though he has found time on the pitch limited, the 20 year old has proved himself to be an efficient, though largely inexperienced, forward for the club
Zigoni's match winning goal in Avellino's 1-0 victory over Viareggio
His goal can be seen in the first few seconds of the video, though most of it was cut out. All you need to know is, the goal came from a free kick from the left.

What ever happened to Davide di Gennaro? I know he was owned by us but loaned a bunch of times. Has anyone seen him play?

ive read a little about his performances... he had problems settling down at first and was rather disappointing and got benched for a few matches. he improved over the last month though and is constantly one of the side's best players now. he had 10 appearances so far (all as a starter) and scored 1 goal. also he plays a more withdrawn role in cm, rather than being the trequartista.
his equalizer vs sudtirol:

Fantastic work.
Nice to hear from vu that Fossati is being used in a more withdrawn role and that his time with the team has been from the start of the match.

hes currently on loan at modena. he had a good start to the season, but again had to deal with minor injuries. hes played the whole 90 minutes of modenas last 3 matches. had an assist and goal against juve stabia, but was anonymous otherwise...

lol, my favorite one:
adiyiah had a total of 9 appearances for karsiyaka in the 2nd turkish division and was subbed off in most of them. supposedly the star of the team, hes yet to score a single goal... in fact most of his performances have been dreadful.
well, hes got a contract till 2014, and izmir is a truly beatiful place to be. hell worry about his career later...

actually beretta is on loan at ascoli. anyway, he had a very difficult season so far being only used as a sub for the last 15-20 minutes. but even when given a rare start or a half-time sub, he didnt do anything of note, though admittedly he didnt have much support upfront. things may change though (hopefully), as he scored his first goal last weekend in a 3-2 loss against empoli.

strasser was slowly introduced to lecces first XI, but i wouldnt be surprised if he gets benched again after his most recent performances. imo hes been mostly average (he had an outstanding first half against us though).
de vito was a starter for cittadella and he got decent ratings. since october hes been on the sidelines though and wont make a return till at least february.
paloschi is only the 3rd/4th choice at chievo, mostly making cameos...
albertazzi has yet to make his debut. well, actually hes yet to make the bench regularly, lol.
in an interview he said he was close to make his debut at the bernabeu, when the score was still at 1-1 and moreover he did witness his sides win against barcelona from the bench

On loan goalkeeper, Antonio Donnarumma, put in nothing less than a phenomenal performance for Gubbio in the sides 1-0 win over Padova as he blocked shot after shot to keep an impressive clean sheet for his side.
The match was a true exhibition of Donnarumma's talent as a goalkeeper.
----
Paloschi scored a goal for Chievo in the sides 2-1 loss to Udinese

Re: The AC Milan Loan/Co-Own Watch Thread
i read somewhere that Donnarumma has been scouted by bundesliga club. and also read in milannews.it reports that he had strings of great games. perhaps he is ready for our squad???
would be nice to hear more about verdi schenetti and fossati situation. especially fossati because we paid awful lot for his rights.

From what i've read, he's been doing pretty well. He seems to have a similar playing style to Simone Verdi. I really think he's been one of the quiet achievers of the Milan primavera when you see names like Merkel, Strasser, Kingsley, Calvano and Verdi

Verdi put in a virtuoso performance for Torino as the Serie B outfit won 3-1 against Qormi with Verdi setting up the 1st of Antenucci's brace before scoring himself to put his side up 3-0.

Didac played a brilliant game against Barcelona for Espanyol, making 7 interceptions and was tidy all game.
One of Donnarumma (who has been brilliant for Gubbio) or Piscitelli (youth team keeper) will be promoted next season to replace Flavio Roma.
Michelangelo Albertazzi is still yet to play a single minute for Getafe.

Awful news
We definitely need Didac back ASAP. He should not go on loan again after he comes back. Good to hear we are promoting youth for our next goalkeeper, if they turn out to be good, they can gain experience quickly and become great players with Abbiati not getting any younger and Amelia not really good enough to be our 1st choice. Albertazzi was a star defender for our youth teams in the past, sad to see him wasted in Spain.

Re: The AC Milan Loan/Co-Own Watch Thread
Merkel has been linked with a January return to Milan. Although we need some midfielders, I feel Merkel isn't the answer.
And in regards to Albertazzi, I never considered him that great a talent to begin with. He was with the Milan Primavera for quite a while and for someone who was supposedly a star of youth team, he rarely made a push for the first team. I think he's one of these players who does well in the youth teams but just can't cut it when he's playing against the big boys.
