La Liga: Arsenal's Joel Campbell hints he would like to stay at Real Betis
Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, currently on-loan at Real Betis, has hinted he would like to extend his stay in Spain beyond the end of the season, especially if he gets the chance to play in Europe.
The Costa Rican is on a season-long deal in Seville, and is yet to receive a work permit to play in England.
Betis have been enjoying a fine season, and currently sit in seventh spot in La Liga, which may be enough to get them into the Europa League next season, courtesy of Copa del Rey finalists Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid being practically assured of a Champions League qualification spot already.
Campbell is enjoying life in Spain, and talked up the possibility of remaining at the club.
"I feel very comfortable and have identified with the team and people of Betis," he told eldesmarque.es.
"I love the city, and if I have to stay I am available. Hopefully we will be in Europe too."
The 20 year-old admitted that it may be out of his hands, and acknowledged going back to the Gunners would not necessarily be a bad thing.
"I do not deny that I would love to show what I have in a team like Arsenal," he added.

I agree Joel should stay for another season regardless.
We made a mistake taking Miyaichi from Feynoord.

Re: Loan Watch Thread
It wasn't a mistake in as much that it wasn't our decision. Feyenoord liked Miyaichi but felt that having him on loan again would hinder the progress of another young player they had in his position.
It's been a shame he hasn't played much in the last two seasons. I thought Bolton would use him more, but could understand their reluctance because they were fighting relegation, and this year he's been unlucky with injury.
Next season is a big season for him in terms of his career at Arsenal. If we don't have any plans of using him in the first team he needs to go to a club at a good level where he'll see regular first team football.
Thomas Eisfeld is in the same boat. I don't know why he wasn't sent on loan in January.
As for Campbell, he'd benefit a lot by staying at Betis another year, especially if they get into Europe, but I would worry about him becoming another "Vela" by shining in Spain but end up struggling to adapt to English football. So in some ways, I'd prefer him to go on loan to a Premier League club, even if Betis would be a more comfortable setting for him.

Brentford have snapped up Arsenal midfielder Josh Rees.
Rees has joined League One side Brentford on loan for one month.
The 19-year-old midfielder broke into Arsenal’s under-21s set-up towards the end of the 2010/11 season and has so far made 23 appearances at that level.
