http://9jagunners.blogspot.com/2011/08/malaga-in-advanced-talks-with-almunia.html
Arsenal's out of favour goal-keeper Manuel Almunia, is reportedly set to join La Liga's in vogue side Malaga, in the coming days.
The Spaniard had being briefed in advance by his club's management, who told him in unequivocal terms that his services were no longer needed, prompting the search for a new club. In his heyday, the handsome dude held sway over matters relating to his department. But the emergence of enterprising youngsters such as; Fabianski, Mannone and recently Wojciech - has contributed in no small measure to big Al's imminent departure.
According to television channel Antena 3 Malaga's manager Manuel Pelligrini is set to offer his namesake a lifeline, in return for the experience and leadership qualities he possesses. Pelligrini, is aware of Arsenal's position in respect to contractual terms with their employee, but anonymous sources claim he is confident of signing his target for a fraction of the fee believed to be in the region of £4m.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will be very pleased if we get 4m for Almunia, he might perform better in Spain with less teams crossing the ball as much but I don;t mind as long as we have Chezzers/Fabby/Mannone.

I think almunia would do very well in spaon tbh. He is a wonderful shot stopper, just not a good reader of high balls and set peices. And that is less of a threat in spain.

I would have paid this 4m just to see him out of the club

Wenger: "We have been clear that we didn't want Cesc to leave and that remains the case. However, we understand Cesc's desire to move to his home town club and have now accepted an offer from Barcelona

Im not just upset that that Cesc left us, i'm also really upset about who he left us for. Because IMO and not through any bias, Barcelona are the most disgraceful team in the world as it stands.

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Reportedly, Jadson's agent is in Paris.
Why is this significant? You can't fly directly from Ukraine to England. France is the closest country to England you can fly to.
So it could be that Jadson's agent is on his way to England, perhaps to sort out personal terms ahead of a possible transfer. Or he could be discussing something with PSG. Or maybe he's not in Paris at all.
I'm expecting some form of development on this tomorrow, though.

I Hope this goes through, we need him. Jadson and Hazard could heal some wounds.

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
The rumours last week were saying that Arsenal were lining up the Brazilian Jadson from Shakhtar Donetsk as a marquee signing to announce when Fabregas transfer to Barcelona is confirmed, but Wenger was directly asked about it on Friday he said: “nowhere near on Jadson” and said the club were “not talking to Shakhtar about him.”
But yesterday this statement was contradicted by the Shakhtar boss Mircea Lucescu, who said: “I can confirm Jadson is wanted by Arsenal. Now it all depends on him.

Its a sad day today, but it is also a positive day. Finally we can grow as a team. We were way to dependent on cesc when he started.
Anyways, can this jadson guy actually replace cesc? I havent seen to much of this guy.

From what I know, Jadson is a diminutive playmaker (only 5'6) that has very good passing, skill, dribbling and is also good from set-pieces. Physically though he might be a little lacking and he is 27, so he might find it difficult in the Premier League.
He'd be more of a stop-gap player as opposed to a direct replacement for Cesc, in my opinion.

That would be fantastic but I doubt it as well.

HES ONLY 5'6! WTF. But if he can handle it then all good. Ya i see ramsey as cescs natural replacement but a short term replacement is needed so Jadson might be hte right Idea.

Rambo is still shy on the ball for now, probably needs 1 or 2 more years. So Jadson makes perfect sense.
After watching Barca - Madrid, I'm sure Fab will succeed at Barca, they badly need replacement for Xavi and Thiago isn't one.

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Seriously, Wenger has had a fortune literally land into his lap. If he doesn't use it to buy a few more badly needed players, i may have to start questioning my faith in him
£56-57 million in total and we do nothing with it other than tossing it onto the profit pile? Hopefully, even Wenger isn't that stubborn
