Koscielny would be a much better choice than Rami for sure. But I still think Varane-Sakho will be the future, if Sakho can grab more playing time to not be so rusty.

Corchia is good and might end up to our club, but hasn't proved world classe yet. A lot of our options are possible good players and potential.

We may be ready in time for 2016 more than for 2014.

I agree RG... Koscielny was just rusty because of lack of playing time in the early season. he needs to play to be sharp. Immense now.

I think Benz plays pretty hard for France. The problem is that he gets no service. It's very, very, very different than with Madrid. He can't play one touch football with guys like Matuidi, Sagna, etc. They don't have the technique.

The other issue is that he's forgotten how to be a lead forward. He's not looking to make a move to score... always looking to pass.

Madrid is bad for him because he plays next to CR7. He needs to leave asap.

Spot on , But i highly doubt he'll leave Madrid unless THEY want him to do so. This guy should have been the main striker of his team , like at OL.

Keep in mind that Varane is still recovering and Sakho is not playing enough. That opened the door for Mangala and Abidal to get in. Very happy for Abidal. I think he can be the stabilizing factor that you need in a locker room... will keep everyone in line.

Evra made it back mainly because nobody else stepped up. Waiting for Digne to make his mark with PSG if he can.

Midfield is ad hoc since he didn't call up any of the players suspended for the next WCQ games, namely Pogba, Cabaye and Matuidi. DD is trying to see which 3 he can play in their place for that game.

Nasri is going to get a look with Thauvin on his heel if he does well at Lille. Alessandrini coming back from injury too. Last chance for Nasri.

Good to see Kondogbia in there. Kid needs as much experience as he can get.

It's a friendly so it's a good time to experiment.

Apparently Benzema was booed in the game vs Belgium. I didn't watch the game so merely just asking. Giroud didn't do any better I heard.

France lack a good striker. they get that and they can go very far in WC

. That AS article was laughable.

Benz/Ribery/Payet all played about the same level, which was fine for an August game. It was a friendly and they're trying to avoid injury... especially Ribery and Benz. I thought the attack was fine. The midfield was Kondogbia/Guilavogui and they got overrun a bit as expected. Clichy and Sagna didn't overlap very well either. You often had 4 french attackers against 8 defenders. France could have easily scored two and should have had at least 1. Both benz and giroud missed a big opportunity each. Keeper made a great save on Benz and Giroud just missed everything lol.

Pogba/Matuidi/Cabaye were all left out since they're suspended for the next WCQ game. Experimental lineup as usual for a friendly, so it lacked cohesion.

100% Ribery is a pure winger and rarely dives into the box. Payet is not good enough. Valbuena is pure playmaker and has very little scoring instincts. That leaves Benzema alone and he hasn't played the lone striker role since his Lyon days and he's lost that edge. He's transformed himself into a SS or 9.5 to play around CR7, another striker.

If i were DD, i'd play a straight 442 with both Benz and Giroud. The RW spot is not that great right now anyhow.

Only caveat is that he can't really do that until the midfield is handled and Pogba/Matuidi/Cabaye are all available. Whoever the midfield duo, they will need to be very good... and right now, France is playing kids that are not ready due to suspensions.

Defense is fine until Varane gets healthy. Abidal was a beast at CB last night and Koscielny is also very good.

Actually, Ribery is at his best with a targetman and, frankly, DD is stupid not to play with Giroud. Ribery burns his defender at least 5 times a game and if there's a target in the box, that's a great scoring opportunity. Benz has no idea how to attack the box like a 9 so those chances get wasted.

Benz wants to play tiki taka with Ribery, which he can do... but really, why would you not use the strengths of the world's best winger?

Lets be serious.. Benzema hasn't scored for France since the Ice Age!! and Giroud is currently on a tear with Arsenal!!!

Clement Grenier has been ruled out with his Hamstring Injury.. a replacement hasn't been called yet.. It would be logical to call-up Gourcuff in his place since he and Grenier are the heart and soul of Lyon right now.

Etienne Capoue also ruled out with injury, was replaced by Lyon destroyer, Maxime Gonalons. LMAO.. what?? Why?? smh

Ribery once went from 2009 to 2012 without scoring a goal... ever since the midfield has become crap, chances are difficult. The opponents focus on Ribery and Benzema and force the mids to make a play. They just don't. I hope once Pogba and Grenier get in there, that changes drastically.

As far as your list... only Griezmann and Toulalan deserve to be on NT. Here's their situations:
- Griezmann has been banned from all NTs until December 2013. He broke team rules last year while on U23 and was punished.
- Toulalan doesn't want to play NT anymore after the WC 2010 fiasco

All your other guys are scrubs. I won't even comment with your "gtfo" list because, other than Sissoko, i don't agree with it.

Imbula, Lemina, Rabiot, Cabella, etc. will make it in the next 2 years imo... Griezmann after his suspension.
