Yes, but the regista is rarely used in England, and the playmakers there are usually traditional playmakers, which was LM argument, if you bothered to actually read it.

Also, as in the article, the regista is not a playmaker in the direct sense, but is more of playconducter than maker.

you guys are trying to play with the literal meanings of the words.

here is the bottom line, xavi is a playmaker. he is the conductor, it doesnt matter if he plays deep or higher, he is the man that gives a meaning to that team.
