Re: Arsenal Lobby
Didnt know you had virgin before. In any case i thought Sky was more expensive then virgin? interesting
The subscription might be but paying for the actual box is cheaper with Sky. Internet is much cheaper, as well. Ultimately we aren't saving that much - only like £8 a month - but in this day and age you take what you can get.
Only downside is that we don't have ESPN anymore, which we've had since the channel started up.
No matter how I look at it though, an extra £9 for ESPN is a much much better deal than the £8 we had to pay to watch one Premier League game on PremPlus. Now that was farcical.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Can we try this formation?
------------------------------------------Szczesny-------------------------------------------
Sagna------------------Djorou----------------------Verminator--------------Jenkinson
-------------Fabregas------------------Song--------------------Wilshere----------------
----------Forehead/Walcott--------------------------------------Shava/Nasri-------------
----------------------------------Robin Van Persie--------------------------------------
We love using full backs dont we? Well we can get the best of them through this formation i believe. We play narrow in the midfield, with the full backs making darting runs down the flanks. Even if it doesn't get us into good postions, it makes space in the middle nad opens them up a little.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Bit late on this one, but whatever you do, don't ever, EEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER go with BT for anything. Their internet sucks buffalo balls and BT vision is a poor man's streaming system and ESPN rarely works properly. The only semi-decent thing is their phone package, but for a whopping £45 a month, i could get better packages elsewhere

At the moment, I'd start Walcott over Nasri. He's in much better form at the moment and I have the feeling Walcott is quite close to elevating his game to another level.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Actually with the team i put up, i was referring to what you guys think about the formation and less about the personnel. And Ali, if i have to be completely honest, i believe that if Gibbs is to play at LB this season, we will not win EPL. And i'm an optimistic guy.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
You're formation really isn't that different to the one we currently play. The movement of the forwards always results in a more narrow 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, which in turn creates space for the full backs.
Gibbs and Traore are pretty much the only good attacking full backs we have, thoug and we really don't want to see these guys as first choice, so it may just be a moot point.
Personally, I'd rather we play a more rigid 5x5 system. Always serves me well on Football Manager.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Huh? This is a 4-3-2-1. 4 defenders, 1dm, 1cm, 1free role to fab, a left and right forward, and a striker. If we sorta shift into this formation during matches, well then i guess i've never notcied :?:

After some thinking, it's not really that different from a 4-3-3 as you said Jay. Yet it plays so differently on Fifa11

Our formation is very fluid. If you watch the movement of the two wide players they always come inside, so it makes little difference if we play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1. What you've described is essientially what we're playing now.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Since were all angered by his antics ... this is to remind us of how amazing Nasri was this season
I really think he loves Arsenal and just did this to make Wenger sign someone and it just backfired in his face!
Verminator... I agree but you never know, he might pull a Clichy

Just curious, what happened to Jay Emmanuel-Thomas? I just read that he'll soon be off to Ipswich permanently, and previously I've only heard good things about him from Arsenal fans.

Attitude didn't match the talent, unfortunately.
When he was playing in the reserves last season, he tore it up. 11 goals in 8 games and close to getting a first team chance. There wasn't much room for him so we sent him out on loan to Cardiff. He didn't really take his chance and put in a lot of lazy and average performances. Was even boo'd by the Cardiff fans at one point (thought it does have to be said that Cardiff were going through a poor spell of form at the time).
I'm guessing that Wenger had decided that he wasn't going to make it Arsenal and decided he needed to move him on. He was 20/21 at the time and if he wasn't going to force his way in through hard work and good performances then he needed to go and make room for someone else. Benik Afobe has pretty much taken his spot now.
