Well he is hit or miss. From a finiancial point of view, the investment will not go to waste because we can win back the huge chunk of that 22 mil on shirt sales alone!

Always got to be weary of small time websites claiming that the club has confirmed something. How would they know?

Better yet, why would Arsenal, who does every transfer dealing in private, tell some random person that they're close to completing a deal with someone?

Already we know that the repor is bullshit, without actually getting into the fact that Wenger probably wouldn't pay £22,000,000 for Ribery, or match his monstrous wages.

I have to say though: £22,000,000 for Ribery would be a damn good deal, considering he's a genuinely world class player.

The irony of it though would be despite signing a world class talent, one of Fabregas or Nasri will probably still leave.

I don't buy Ribery rumor one bit, his wage is huge. Even if it has tiny bit of truth in it, it's 3-4 years too late.

Ribery to Arsenal? haha i dont think so. And why would wenger pay 22m for ribery? There is no chance Wenger would spend that much. I really hope we buy Mata even if it costs him 22m.

No doubting Ribery's class.. But rather Mata now for that money.. In other news, the Daily Mirror say we're listening to offers for Jay Emmanuel-Thomas in the region of £1m. The attacker has failed to so far live up to expectation at the club and rather send him out on loan again, Wenger is looking to sell according to the newspaper.
