Yea Araujo has been great up until recently... last game he was nearly injured, dunno if anything to do with that... but its a mess atm, only De Jong is really helping defend. Romeu supposed to when he plays but cant when hes even slower than old Busquets... maybe we spent all the money we raised by the fire sales already so we cant get anyone in this winter window?

Too many players cant defend n at the same time we lack up front already, I mean Lewand cant, Felix cant, Yamal cant, Cancelo cant, Gundogan cant, Pedri cant... so cant be too harsh on Araujo being nearly a one man d all the time XD

Not to mention we been without Ter Stegen for so long n he always gave us a goal or so advantage, hence all them 1-0s last season

Not confident cos we have had so many coaches not working out, so I doubt the next would do any much better... except maybe if we land Klopp for example which we wont

We need a long term vision and not another stopgap

So from the looks of things, we wont have money this summer since we already used all the money we raise from selling large chunks of the club last summer lol... meaning for both manager n players we might want we wont be able to get, so again we at best will only be able to afford cheap players, loans, past its, players on free, etc... n a mid level coach...

So our down cycle has been essentially delayed for so long, the worst is yet to come it seems...

A few years ago when we won the 13th CL I had made some number crunching and if I remember correctly the average difference in La Liga titles between Real Madrid and Barcelona throughout history has been around 11 or 12 and the most it ever was was in 1990 with 15.

Right now there's a difference of 8 and hopefully that will turn to 9 soon. We should have won 20/21. If Barcelona keeps getting cucked like this and Mbappe joins/Madrid reinforces several areas that need reinforcement in the squad then I can definitely see us being in the 11+ league difference soon again.

And of course it could be close that we put ourselves within 10 CLs of Farca. Despite their golden generation.

Xavi came in at a very challenging time and managed to get a league out of it. Consensus at the time he was hired was that it was too early. IMO he exceeded expectations.

I'll be sad to see him go.

Only recently found out about xavi saying he gonna quit.

A tactical fool with an outdated philosophy trying to impose it on a team who isnt suited to what they're trying to do.

I would've preferred him to stay so that barcelona would forever remain irrelevant... But it seems he finally bought himself a clue.
