The Inter section is gone. Same faces still here but older now. Idk what reminded me of this forum today but im glad I did.

On topic: Napoli and Jj for the scudetto this season. Milan third and Inter fourth. We don't have a clinical striker and the talk of Balogun doesn't bode well for us. Hands down best midfield in Italy tho.

I think we can have a clinical presence with Lautaro, as for Thuram he is big and he is fast, maybe he can contribute. Injury prone though, poor mans Lukaku probably.

Midfield is great, no worries in the middle or the flanks.

Defence is troublesome. Sommer is unknown to me, never really watched him. Since I've known Inter we've always had brilliant goalkeepers. His height is a bit lacking for a GK.

In defence Acerbi seemed just fine, but how much legs does he have left? De Vrij looked washed. On the left we are good with Bastoni and Dimarco can fill in, Darmian on the right seemed resilient and Bisseck I have no idea.

Inzaghi also doesn't strike me as someone who can win the league unless the squad is better than the other teams, and it isn't.

The opposition is what gives me hope, isn't looking great for anyone. Napoli is weaker and they lost Spalletti, will not repeat last season for sure, not even close I think. Milan is worse, how much miracles can Pioli pull off? Not much more imo. Juventus will be better. I think they can win.

Juventus lack of activity is very strange, the opposition is looking bleak and the road is cleared to return on top, why aren't they working on the market, I have no idea.

Quiet summer so far, there was rumors for Lukaku swap and Kessie, not very interesting. I'd rather keep Vlahovic and give those midfield minutes to Fagioli or even Miretti.

So whats happening with Juve? Is it true they got caught with some financial fraud again n banned from Europe? Lucky its only Conference league so doesnt hurt one bit

But losing Di Maria is also a result of financial troubles right? Thought performed very well, n now already balling for Benfica beating Porto.

Di Maria is a big loss but it's alright to seek another challenge, we won't have much to offer this season.

It seemed to me Di Maria mainly attracted criticism from Juve fans, while from the games I've seen, he was usually one of the best on the field.

Last season Serie A was pretty poor and this upcoming season seems even poorer. I follow out of habit more than genuine interest these days.

I guess the league will come through cycles, depending on the talent discovered and sold 1-2 years later. Unless foreign money come save the league its future is gonna be complicated on short/medium term.

Yeah it's a shame because sporting wise it was the most relevant the league has been for years

but Inter signing Arnautovic in 2023 and the talent being steadily siphoned and replaced with meh players like Scammacca is sad to see, I still hold a soft spot for the league so hopefully we'll see more domestic talent rising up and what not, even if they'll probably be signed by PL clubs like Tonali after they emerge

Inter looking lively. Thuram looks like he doesn't have a strikers instinct, but links up well. Probably would be a winger, not a striker if he wasn't 1.95 or something.

Arnautovic doesn't play like a 34 year old. Nice second debut so far.

Fiorentina looks more and more dangerous, Italiano is doing some great work and the signings are sensible for his football. Can see them finishing above Roma.
