That was some real struggle ball from BVB to eek out that narrow win over a pretty positive looking Koeln side.

I just realised we missed out on a Mane - Kane - Sane frontline, smh Mane.

Victor Boniface had a fun day today. 2 well-taken goals.

Anyone watching this league? How does Leverkusen look? Under Xabi Alonso only hearing good things, leading table so far, any chance to upset Bayern? Every yr I ask about a team who can but never happens

I've only been watching Dortmund. They're not looking very good these days, but they're steamrolling every "fodder team" that they've played against.

Yeah, but they've always had offensive strength. They're doing alright in the league, result-wise, but the performance level isn't quite there. I have a feeling that they won't finish in the top 3 this season.

Re: Bundesliga 2023/24
I watched a bit at the beggining, Kimmich got a red early on and Bayern were a man down before I tuned out thinking it's gonna be a difficult one.
Then how the f did Darmstadt manage to get 2 straight reds before halftime and then concode 8 goals, I really want to know.

Came across this video talking about why Germany football struggling atm? It says it could be too much pampering in the German youth prospects nowadays whereas mentality were stronger in the past?
Any thoughts on this?
This weekend Dortmund v Bayern... prolly will get spanked again Also looking forward to watching Leverkusen vs Bayern whenever it will be to see if they can legit challenge them?

The own goal by HSV at the Hamburg derby

The same Frankfurt side that lost 0-2 to 3rd division side, Saarbrücken in the DFB Pokal recently Bayern will most likely win the league title, but the lack of competition is probably making them complacent. I don't think Leverkusen will be able to keep their form going until the end of the season, but it would be cool if they did.

Could it be? Leverkusen to knock Bayern off the title for once? Wouldnt be surprised....its just been sooo long... last season Dortmund collapsed in the end... Tuchel got lucky once there... if Bayern continues to be complacent... the defending for the goals were so bad though might not be his fault actually

Dortmund look really weak this season, so Bayern don't really have much competition in their league, similarly to PSG in ligue 1. That lack of competitiveness tends to lead to complacency since the top team becomes accustomed to being able to cruise through most of their matches, and can save energy for the Champions League or derbies, or whatever it may be that's deemed to be more important.
I do hope Leverkusen can beat Bayern to the league title this season, but I can't honestly say that I believe they will be consistent enough to achieve that. It's far too early to tell how the season will pan out.

It would be glorious that Kane is prevented from winning his first trophy by Neverkusen who have also never won the Bundesliga

It’s almost a bit comical how happy Sancho looks at Dortmund

Re: Bundesliga 2023/24
So it seems Tuchel wants to use his connections to bring more players in, according to ESPN, PSG RB Mukiele n if not, Trippier might be a choice. Maybe just rumours since Mazraoui is pretty good already, Bayern are stacked... if anything seem to be weaker in defending, n Mukiele seems like an attacking RB. Maybe just rumours, but Bayern are one of the rich clubs able to afford n attract most players any time they like, but why Eric freakin Dier
