May be it was because Madrid had such an all star midfield his role was limited? But bloody hell. I read somewhere that it is similar to Yaya Toure moving from Barca to City like they can express more in a shittier midfield lol.

Anyway our best signing since I dont know RVP may be.. in terms of sheer impact. And the thought of going from McFred to this beast is just Proud

For me he is the reason we are looking like a decent side now.

All the midfield players in the KCM trident had their own roles and together they complemented eachother. It's wrong to suggest he was merely a "destroyer". He was so much more than that.

I've never understood the hatred of pure DMs. What's ironic about it is, the same people blast florentino for his makelele stance. But then will blast defensive midfielders for doing their primary job which is to dirty up opposition play. And get mad at them for not passing or crossing or dribbling like kdb or any other attacking dudes. I used to think it was a Spanish league thing because Roy Keane makelele Gilberto silva etc all got their props in England.
