think it's safe to say Nunez has taken over the title of dumbest footballer from Jack Grealish
anyway, Happy St. Invincibles Day, Gunners!

Telling clubs and their fans off, but still living in 2003, this shows how low these Arsenal fans are, probably the least ambitious I have ever spoken too, God help them amen.

What a game this was, especially the performance from LFC... van Dijk looked his best again, Thiago n Fabinho beasting... not to mention Salah... they were really up for it. Man C were too but just got beat again... real credit to LFC after the recent difficult run... hopefully this will spark their season back on track as usual

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Very satisfying win.
Very glad City's goal was called off as the pull on Fabinho was unwarranted.
Im one of the most critical people on Salah here as his decision not to pass it off on his first chance had me go ballistic but him skewering Cancelo followed by the jink over Emerson, was sublime.
Better team in the 2nd half as it is as City created very little and unless Haaland isn't making open runs into the box and what is created for him he doesn't do much of note. I can see the PL adapting to his game given its very uniquely set up and streamlined. Though he does have the potential to evolve beyond that slightly limited game.
I didn't see that win against Rangers anything of note since they are a poor team but the bevy of goals followed by the win on the UCL stage has bolstered LFC's confidence.
Best performances for me were VvD, Robertson and Thiago.
Deserved win. Up Reds.

He had a very anonymous performance. He showed at Dortmund and RB Salzburg that he can take on players by himself very effectively with his sheer speed and strength, but I can only assume that he's been instructed not do so in his current role at City since he hardly challenges players anymore and has a much more restricted range of movement. He probably won't evolve much beyond what he's currently doing, if the idea is for him to only move in and around the box and not take any unnecessary risks. People are praising his goalscoring ability for City, but it really is a huge shame that his exceptional athleticism is being wasted in a poacher role. It's still early days, and his role/playing style might change in the future, but I was afraid that this would happen when he was being linked with Pep and Man City. No one will complain if he's racking up the goals, but it really is a waste of potential.

Not sure what bullshit you people are talking about mah buuuoy Haaland. People were laughing when I said, I would take Haaland over Mbappe. Haaland is a true monster, who gives a frrrack if he can't do everything by himself, he scores goals and goals, that is what matters.
As long as he keeps scoring without City winning anything, I am fine with it.

I mean the goals are coming but he seems more limited in City than he did in Dortmund. Hence why I say streamlining the play to which is a typical Pep thing to do of his goal-scorers.
I am sure with time he will give him more freedom but here I do see it as him playing to his strengths rather than be something he is not, and more a springboard to the front line.
Only 22 though and with time he will add in his untapped facets within the next 2 seasons.

Smashed you. Smashed Spurs. Smashed Pool. Smashing Chelsea next. City are winning the league but we'll finish a close second.

I think he became increasingly inconsistent for us in recent time, just like Varane did - but he's a top player on his day, no doubt.

Lol, no way, not even in your wet dreams. We have been riding the 2nd place trophy with some glory for past few years, I would say it is either Arsenal or us.

We expect a thank you for gifting you the tank Casemiro.
Edit: And an apology for talking smack about him the other week. If he'd started against City, you wouldn't have lost.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Varane's been the best CB in the league so far this season too...but I know he's not going to stay fit.
Turns out we just needed Maguire outta the starting lineup. He looks very happy with Martinez as a partner. Genuinely scared if/when he gets injured though as it will derail out season.
We desperately need a striker too. Trashford ffs.
We're still not great or anything, of course, humbled by City and those early season embarrassments are still annoying but the signs are good atm..

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
I honestly think taking CR7 out of the starting lineup has had more of an impact on the way you play. Not to take anything away from his individual ability, he just isn't as sustainably impactful anymore. The last time you looked like you stood a chance of beating any of the top teams was before he arrived. He brought occasional, clutch goals and a lot of people seemed to be happy about that, although the cohesion of the team evidently declined as soon as he was introduced.
