Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
It's better for him to stay than just replace him for the sake if it.
Reasonsble.
Problem is that after watching a shitload of UTD games this season, I have no clue what his football is, what is the idea here.
I hope we find out.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
Absolutely. When the alternatives were Southgate, Pochetino and a whole bunch of other mediocre managers, its better to keep him.
Now looking back, the FA cup win indeed brought back some goodwill regarding him among the fans and I am sure also the board. The fact that now everyone's saying 'had we had a full set of players to choose from for majority of the season' things would have been different and all conveniently forgetting he himself would have had a part in those recurring injuries to players.
Anyway yea new structure, lets see how will he fare. Clearly in the no excuses territory now. 6 months to show improvement, if else fek off. Keep playing Antony ahead of Amad, yea fek off.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
No excuses now. We thinking he's still here come December?
Mazraoui will be playing LB a lot I imagine, Shaw will play like a quarter of the season
I have no idea what the plan is with Hojlund and Zirkzee, I hear Zirkzee isn't exactly a goal monster, dunno who our #1 is gonna be, Hojlund still a young lad so need to take some pressure off him, Garnacho should 1000000% start ahead of Rashford, who offers nothing and that doesn't seem like it will change this season
Still miffed ETH has saddled us with Mount and Antony who will be here for years to come.
Anyway, my optimism levels going into the season aren't very high, I think we will continue to have issues with chance creation and goals and controlling games even against shit teams. We'll just play for counters against top 6 opposition. I'd like to see us sell Mctom and bring in Rabiot on a free. before the end of the window too.
qualification for the CL should be the only aim this season and I think it will be tough, but I reckon we'll just about do it. City, Pool and Arsenal will finish above us.
I'd say we could go for the EL too because we actually have a deep squad now, but I know we'll be plagued with injuries as usual.
Shoring up the backline will be immense if Martinez can stay fit at least until Yoro is back but then I think, how many points will Onana cost us this season?

Some impressive work being done at the academy level by Ineos. Signed 16 yo Chido Obi Martin from Arsenal, Samuel Lusale from Crystal Palace and now Mali U17 world cup squad member, the highly sought after DM Sekou Kone.
Guess what, all you need was actual football people in footballing positions instead of some bankers. It was that easy after all.

Deal 100% agreed and done, documents will be signed after medical next week.
£1m transfer fee plus several add-ons based on performances.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
How many Klopp players are still playing at Liverpool? How is it that basically every other Manager can get their team playing their way of football in a matter of months whilst we need to recreate that entire 2019 Ajax team and find 7 Dragonballs to even get close? https://t.co/AEQJFNdaYP

In retrospect was that Ajax team of 19 that good? I ask because I did not follow football that closely that year

Should have been in the CL final really.
ETH played with such balls back then. Schone and de Jong double pivot, sometimes even just de Jong anchoring. Nowadys it's probably gonna be Casemiro and Ugarte.

Yea thats the single most disappointing aspect so far re Ten Hag's tenure. I dont know what happened to the fearless manager who made his team play free flowing football at Ajax. Its like whenever any decent coach comes to United, they catch this bug of cowardice. Their tactics, team selections, substitutions all seem defensive and cowardly. May be its the weight the club places on their shoulders.

It's the club.
Reminds me of Inter decade before Conte. Every manager would come with ideas for 2-3 games, and lose his balls entirely and turn into a timid turd, get the sack. One after another, like clockwork, for 10 years.
At least United gave ETH both time and his players, so I can hardly blame them too much.
RVN will come to the rescue.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
ten Hag just isnt very good. Huge difference between the pressure at Ajax compared to United who are still in the shadow of the greatest manager of all time.
It's very easy to get your team to play such aesthetic football but even that runs out. Time and time its proven he has no idea what he is doing beyond the base level of his system. All the money and time given and yet he remains a bald fraud, genuinely.
Slot i fear, won't be much different.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
What happened to him I dont know. He was quite decent in the first season. Progressively became weaker and weaker to the point now it looks utterly pathetic and untenable. Same can be said about his players. What has happened to Lisandro Martinez. He was exceptional for us in his first season. Now is playing every game like a drunkard. Worse than Marcos Rojo. For his own legacy/sanity to remain tact, I genuinely wish him to resign if the Ineos idiots continue to dither with the sacking. This is even worse than Ole's and Mourinho's final days as far as I can remember.

RVN to steady the ship and stick around IMO.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
Content that its finally happened. Was genuinely looking like he was waiting for it for sometime with some of his comments. Wish him well. Didnt for once think when he was appointed and after his first season he would crash and burn in this manner. Sigh. I guess the warning signs were there for some time now.
Having said that disgusted some of these cnut players of ours have survived yet another manager. Rashford. Honestly sick of that prick. Wait until the the coming permanent manager makes him once again the team's star player for him to turn up for half a season and then revert back to his sulking uninterested default setting. Same with Bruno.
Yesterday's match any sane man watching could see the players were actively trying to land the final blow. They might have gotten some kind of insider information that he will be gone with one more loss. It was totally evident. Next level self sabotage. Diogo Dalot. Fucking cnut. I can bet he 100% knew what he was doing when he shot that ball wide when through and facing an open goal. Garnacho, Bruno. I wish all of these overpaid dickheads just depart. But here we are, all of them surviving and yet another manager out of the door.
Rashford, Luke Shaw, Bruno, Dalot, Antony, Lindelof in that exact order get the hell out of my football club. The Casemiro's, Maguire's atleast the effort will be there 100% every time they play. But they should also be going nevertheless.
If INEOS are serious, they should ensure these fair weather primadonas are out before appointing their next permanent manager.
Talking about INEOS, they have massively fucked up too. Why give ten hag everything he asked for yet again if the only reason they didnt sack him was because no one better was available. They should have kept the budget. Buying Leny Yoro was fine. But rest of the transfers.
Now going to replacements, I am hearing Xavi is leading . I dont have a problem with Xavi, just that it would be so typical of Manchester United. I mean only Manchester United would get players like Ugarte and then go for managers who play exactly the opposite way. Reeks of zilch planning which has become the hallmark of this club.
Anyway keen to see RVN for now. Hopefully he can make us play well and also get some results.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
My 2 cents for permanent manager would be to go for someone left field. From prem alone, there are many under the radar options like Iraola and Thomas Frank or even Mckenna(provided most of the current big ego players go). Many fans are also waiting for Madrid to sack Ancelotti so that we can get him. I would rather not. Someone fresh and young would be far better for a young team long term. We have zero expectation now as a fanbase. Play some decent football and get us into top 8 and the fans will lap it up. At least this ten hag reign has made sure of that. Lol, so if we go for a young promising manager he WILL get ample time.
