What's funny is that he was punished badly the two times that he was conservative, tonight and the last ten minutes at home against United. And they were all shitty, mostly random goals.

I was frustrated when I could see the team tiring around the 60th minute mark we should have made subs earlier. Should have played a 4-2-3-1 and conceded our midfield is rubbish and tried to outscore atletico. Our attack could be awesome. Ramsey is a good player we need a dm beside ramsey and pjanic and our midfield could be good enough but atm its stupid 6 million wages to a past it khedira and matuidi is a robot

Embarrassing to want Allegri sacked

Allegri never has been in the position to be sacked for Juventus as his tenure has been better than Conte who wasn't much in Europe even if he made the foundations for this side.

Allegri should end his cycle soon given he is rather jaded and relations are breaking down with the board, though the squad love him despite sensationalist reports.

Tonight's masterclass should not be a surprise to anyone who knows what he is capable of.

He got himself in that position with his coaching this year. A couple of weeks ago, Paratici didn't commit to him for the future, saying that it won't be determined by one match. Then, there were rumors that he wanted to quit. Maybe he felt that he didn't have enough support. At the press conference from Friday (i think it was on Friday) he was aggressive towards journos, saying that they were writing nonsense. He looked very defensive, so there was fire behind that smoke.

He was great yesterday, but, like Paratici said, it was just one game. A lot more of this and a lot less of the first leg and he can stay for life. Otherwise, he should just renew his golf club membership. Or go to Inter.

Adun I speak more on the basis of results but yes the dissension that occurred that mostly began after the initial leg of the UCL match vs Atletico clearly got him in hot water given it was essentially the worst way to lose with a gutless performance and more so we all know Allegri after 9 years straight in coaching within Top-flight football and that in Serie A where it is a consistent pressure cooker environment, has had him in need for a definite sabbatical and rather jaded as he has a tendency to become as such around this time of the year.

His attitude before the game spelled not only defeatism to me, but incoming defeat and never did I (or most) see what was basically a tactical masterclass to completely outplay Atletico and make the first leg in Madrid, a distant and foregone memory.

Personally i'm good with Allegri

Can turn a game around with his subs and did it many times. He is excellent tactician in both creative and conservative strategies, somehow he is average at deciding when to use each approach. That's the simplest i would describe Max to someone who never heard of him.

Not sure about his current status but he was given the keys of the team for a while. It shows clearly if you look at the state of our midfield for example. Yet he always manage to deliver results for Juve, he never let us down ultimately. I trust him when it comes to acknowledge his mistakes. But here's a VERY important point: i don't think we are getting the best out of this beautifully talented squad we have. Not on a regular basis.

In fact the probem is he's fucking stubborn, his competence was never in doubt.

So i am ambivalent if i try to put myself in the upstairs management's mind, ½ i think Max is untouchable, the other ½ i think he saved his ass yesterday. And even in this second eventuality, probably not a direct sack, he would resign in off-season.

Many Milanisti are not on terms with me on Max but truth is I see a consistent perspective on him based on following him since his impressive Cagliari days and the same pattern remains despite how much he has outwardly grown beginning from the second year in Juventus to overcome flaws that prevented him in being taken seriously by world football followers.

Too many times he was blamed for the hand given to him within Milan as such is the consistency of Milanisti in how they cannot see the blunders of the board and individualities to separate from the coach and the story of EDF in Roma this season in that regard has been very similar.

We all know of his capability as few out there are as multi-layered in their approach as him as Max at his best is when he prepares a plan so brilliant within a knock-out stage (always at least one of two though never both) that it brings us to the best and worst of him.

First leg v Atleti was his worst. Stubborn, pragmatic, not using the squad to his strengths and of course doubting his own ability but it follow a 2nd leg so good in its tactical output that it brought back memories of that 2-0 in San Siro versus Barca (only for a completely unexplained change in the 2nd leg).

So what always hold him back is whats been mentioned many a times but of course his all too zealous use of midfield in which he tries to extract too much out of his midfielders and spreads them too thin, notably highly creative old fashioned players like Pjanic even if he succeeded with box-to-box midfielders like Marchisio, Vidal, Pogba.

Tuesday was an example of using Pjanic correct without his ridiculous defensive responsibilities that were covered by Can, the latter having truly found his role if it continues as he has had an unremarkable career but no one doubted his talent coming out of the highest ranks of Bayern youth.

It is time for Max to call it an end to his Juve cycle and this is not a note on his performances but a clear needed for a hiatus of reflection and redevelopment to his game and his health for that matter.

I see we are on the same page about Allegri. Just one thing i'll contest it's when you claim

It concerns our Champions League project, we can safely assume that after 5 years and 2 finals lost he is fully dedicated to it. We are close enough to our goal, we have the squad to be serious contenders, and it would not make sense on his part to abandon ship right now.
About being sacked, i doubt it, we have a decent season so far, and no better coach would be available anyways.

- End of the season is a disaster: he'll resign as hidden sack
- We win Champions League: might leave
- We lose in final or in semis: he'll remain and try again at least one more year

Is he done after this season? Who will replace him now that Zizou is at Madrid?

He isnt done, he is a fantastic coach. We need a better midfield, max knows that, agnelli knows that, everyone knows that.

Agnelli just confirmed Allegri on the bench for next season. He isnt getting sacked, he either remains or chooses to quit.
