He'd leave either way after this season. Too bad he can't accept the fact that tiki taka is shit since 2011/2012
I would love if he went to Man City and tried to make them play this way though

Seems like he's nailed on for the City job. £20m yearly salary plus shitloads of money to throw at players.

Tiki taka isn't shit. He just lacks Messi.

Messi isn't key to play tiki taka... He's just a bonus

Messi's the reason he won what he won at Barca

Yeah... that's the 'bonus' part in case you missed it. But he wasn't key to playing tiki taka. Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Alves... They were even more important imo.

Spain went on the best run in the history of international football playing Tiki Taka without Messi.
More than half the squad were Barca players and drilled under Pep. VDB being a great manager just let it keep on going.
You don't need Messi to win playing Tiki Taka and Pep is certainly able to win playing his style without Messi.
But when you have the best player in the world and maybe of all time, yes he is a big reason you win games.

Pretty much this. Tiki taka is probably the most misused term in the history of football.

Possession-based football built around intricate attacks through the midfield via short passing, triangular options, high line, high pressing and playing through the back.Donuts wrote:i would like to hear what people think tiki taka even is.. used so wrongly it hurts my brain to read their posts.

Then not only has Bayern been using 'tiki taka' over the last 2 seasons, but they've been using it successfully

Re: Pep sack watch
Calling something tiki taka is just a way for armchair analysts to explain an example of flashy attractive football as being something more tactically sophisticated than a team fielding significantly higher quality players their opponents

Re: Pep sack watch
Essentially tiki taka is very similar to Catenaccio in that both typically relate to football, for anybody who was wondering.
