ETH plays Eriksen there instead

Eriksen hasn't got the legs to play AM anymore. Was a pointless signing anyway.

Eriksen a solid, cheap, bench option. Shouldn't be a starter, but probably got guarantees he would be.

Jibers where the F are you.
WTH is going on @ manutd? And why was Erikson played as a dm? A tactical decision that I'm failing to comprehend.
Jibes or Firenze, wtf is ten Häagen-Dazs is doing?

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
Eriksen played deep for Conte iirc.
Also he’s playing DM because he’s better at progressing the ball than McFred.
Btw these results are absolutely deserved. Rangnick said United needed 10 new players. Ten Haag came in and said that wasn’t the case arguing they finished 2nd two seasons before, so there’s a good team in there. Their disagreement on the squad is why Rangnick left and didn’t stay as consultant.
Now he’s reaping the fruits of his arrogance.

Starting to think maybe Man U should start to realize their stature has gone down a level or two though since like more than a decade ago? Continues to puzzle me the amount of fans they have worldwide after yrs of depressing football n embarrassments.
Not sure but Manchester isnt an attractive city to live in for the star players? Even if they choose to go there MAn C is the preference now They prolly prefer London? Their pulling power now have dropped so much the only thing that can attract top players are just money which they also dont look like wanting to splash out too much anyway?

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
If Eriksen is used well by ten Hoe then it should be huge for United.
CR is most likely staying so that too can be an asset given Cristiano loves to use visionary passers like Eriksen. Beyond that there is not a single special thing in the squad bar maybe Martial who's just too inconsistent.

I can see it being Fred or Eriksen next to Casemiro I guess, doubt we try to chase FDJ after Casemiro, but it seems we are determined to get Antony
we still need a RB ffs

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
Cody Gapko is I think we will end up getting not Antony. There is Malo Gusto rumours. Hope they are true. But I can see Lyon taking us to the cleaners. More likely will end up with Denst. Also there's a player United couldnt cough up 5 mil 2 years ago, and who went on to sign for Brighton, called Moises Caicedo, there are rumours we are willing to pay 60+ mil for him now. But Brighton are demanding 100mil  Such pathetic transfer planning and strategy. The worst in the league easily.
Anyway, would be delighted with Casemiro, ofc.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
I don't think Ten Hag is a bad coach. I think he's a good coach, but I think his stint has shown a few lessons.
1- Coaches shouldn't be responsible for transfers. They can give their input on what their team needs, and maybe help contribute to drafting up a shortlist, but the truth is they don't actually have the time to analyze their targets. That's why Ten Hag was going for players he already knew because it was easier to teach them the system. His profiling sucked. I don't understand why he thought Mount should be the alternative if he couldn't get FDJ. Like they are completely different players.
2- At the top level identity matters. United brought him into play the Ajax way while keeping some United traditions alive (fast transitions when possible). Ten Hag turned to Ole/Mourinho every time he had a few injuries. I know being stubborn with your ideals isn't always a good thing, but I thought Ten Hag was too adaptable sometimes. I think if he had stuck with more proactive football even with the injuries he'd have more goodwill. I can't imagine them doing worse results wise. I also think if your team has a lot of injuries, you can't just blame the injuries, but have to take a look at the medical staff and fitness practices being underdone.
3- If Madrid want to offload any of their stars after they turn 30 don't take them. Perez is the best president in the world. If he isn't willing to fight to keep a player, chances are their best days are behind them or they're injury prone lmao.

The vast majority of coaches aren’t responsible for transfers. I know I’ve been quite obnoxious in my regurgitation of this fact for a few years now. Every transfer decision has to go through layers of people, ranging from club scouts and advisors to financial advisors. Managers can give input, but they don’t have the final say in transfer decisions. At least, that’s far from the norm at top clubs. And it would be incredibly irresponsible by the club’s hierarchy if it was the norm.
In Ten Haag’s case, I assume the pursuit of some of his former players were largely a result of the club’s priority targets being out of reach, and he was able to convince all but Anthony to be brought in for reasonable fees as an emergency plan. Man United are an incredibly wealthy club, but they do have fairplay restrictions to follow.
I was accused of defending him when I said this, but I have no strong opinions about Ten Haag. I just feel like the managerial situation at Man United has been largely in the club’s hands for quite a while now, and less so in the hands of their managers - whoever that may be.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
I don't think that was the case at United. There was turnover when Woodward left, which led to Ten Hag having more sway than typical. Tuchel also had more sway when it came to making transfers after winning the CL and Chelsea's signings that summer haven't turned out that well.
I agree that at the vast majority of top clubs it is what you say. But not sure that was the case at United entirely.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
So I was right about him staying before the FA cup win...A great coach indeed as some has wrote here before but UTD wont go far with him thats for sure. An occasion cup trophy is his forte but league is alot to be desired.

Re: Erik Ten Hag Sack Watch
It's better for him to stay than just replace him for the sake if it.
Reasonsble.
Problem is that after watching a shitload of UTD games this season, I have no clue what his football is, what is the idea here.
I hope we find out.
