Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
- Spoiler:
- ^^see i'm not too sure about that... based on what happened in the first two seasons i think that's what they want us to expect to happen, but if Kendall really is going to be "The Number One Boy" in the narrative arc i think he will come up trumps in some twist of a way or sacrifice himself for the greater good at the end of the season. Interested in Shiv's moves as well, i think as her next move she'll play along with Kendall but she'll be scheming with ultimate plans to end up as CEO of course

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
- Succession S03E02:
- God i love this show... the entire sequences in the apartment with the kids was glorious. The constant state of double crossing, one-upmanship and pure comedy gold!!! Just banderas.gif
The Trojan Horse and then Shiv entering the scene is just meta levels of hilarious by Jesse Armstrong. It could mean a lot or it could mean nothing at all. I think Shiv is trying to hold out longer to save face with Logan and the rest of the family in case Logan makes a masterstroke move or Kendall self-destructs... but ultimately i think she wants to do the "right thing" with Kendall and make a late move his side by gaining more intel in camp Logan
as for Roman, i can't really tell since he is just Gerri's psychosexual puppy... i found importance in him calling Gerri after the kids apartment meeting, i don't know why it just felt like an important twist moment for me that... Didn't Logan request a private chat with Gerri in the previous episode that we never got to see. Is he trying to use Gerri as his body armour to make his way through this war? What does Gerri gain out of all of it? A CEO post? come on, she's just a loyal hardworker, not a power hungry leader. But how loyal is she?
it's obvious Logan is trying to play the kids against one another because he knew Kendall would try to invite them in on his side

I am always happy when I watch Office Us, I don't know why. No other series or movie has this effect on me although I have watched the whole series multiple times. Cold weather, cozy blanket, cup of hot chocolate and listening to life lessons by Dwight Schrute. Life doesn't get any better than that my dudes.

it's Labour, I didn't know either, figured it'd be some niche political party, but I knew it wasn't the damn Lib Dems

- Wow this was a hard episode to watch. Felt like Kendall was suicidal with the "I wish i was..." line.
Man I always had a dislike for Roman since the first episode when he ripped off a 1m check in front of that kid, but in the last two episodes he has really solidified himself as just a general awful human being.

- Succession S03E07:
- he shouldn't have smoked that big ass J because the paranoia would be off the charts when he knew his dad and ex-wife would be liable to ruin his birthday party later in the evening
Kendall and Shiv team-up still possible, methinks. They're both in the mud and they have a loving sibling relationship somewhere beneath all the pretense. But how will things look like now going forward?? because it seems like the case is down the drain.
Yea Roman has really solidified himself as Logan's real mini-me these past few episodes.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
Watched Devs, a miniseries from Alex Garland, the director/writer of Ex Machina and Annihilation. The first four episodes I felt were fantastic and then...it builds up to a middling conclusion. No surprises and very predictable plot developments. There was something major missing from making it a classic.
