Serious question: is there a rule for when the referee looks at VAR? He didn't even look at the goal to see whether or not it was offside and the same for that non-existent yellow.

Don't think offside decisions are down to the ref going over and looking at the monitor
Offside should be checked by VAR on every goal and with help of these elusive 'lines'
no idea what triggers VAR to step in in CL though
but yeah refereeing has been all over the place in CL, last game PSG got a penalty which stood despite being an obvious and blatant, pure dive from Di Maria
and I'm pretty sure the goal we conceded last week against Red Bull was offside too but it stood, we never saw a proper replay

Ole not subbing Fred off was stupid. He should have been sent off twice in the first half and somehow makes it to 70 minutes.

Game over.
United had this on a silver platter and blew it.
Their defeat was partly down to the referee, but mostly because Martial can't score to save his life.

Leipzig are unbeaten at home aren't they?
A draw will be enough for United to qualify but I don't think the game will end in a draw. Leipzig have to win to qualify on the other hand and they certainly give themselves a good chance especially after their dramatic result today.

The last time you went to Germany needing a win/point to qualify, you got dumped out of the groups.

Leipzig are scrubs, will annihilate them
Ole got Nagelsmann in his pocket after that last game, and Leipzig's attacking force are tame kittens, who also miss a half a paw, an eye and a couple of whiskers, compared to United's deadly strikers.
They are just not dangerous in attack.

Yeah, it’s puzzling that he continued to play in the second half. He looked like a red card waiting to happen, even if I don’t believe he deserved a yellow for the situation that actually got him sent off.

To be fair, I think Rashford’s fans are incredibly opportunistic when it comes to praising him. Those misses by Martial today could just as well have been him, judging by his general ability to finish chances. His goal today was a sloppy shot that was headed straight towards Navas before it conveniently deflected into the bottom corner.

don't think RB will get anything out of this, they don't have a single proper striker.
Sörloth quite apparently can't cut it (yet?)

What a shame in Paris. 4th ref said “the black guy” when indicating to the ref who should be booked on Istanbul’s bench. Istanbul Basaksehir walks off the pitch for racism. “Why you call him black man?!”, Istanbul players are literally furious. #UCL #PSGIBFK
