Watching the Shining right now and I have to say not only in this movie but in every movie I have seen him, Jack Nicolson always seems to me like a guy who is either about to give you a very big gift or going to put a bullet in your head, there is no middle ground with him lol. Have to be one of my all time favourites hands down.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
My partner and I watched the Eurovision movie that Netflix just put out Friday night. I know of Eurovision (thanks to you guys on here), but haven't really watched it. My partner has never heard of it at all so she was super confused by what was going on. It was amusing. The movie itself was funny, but far too long for my tastes.
Decent cast as well though the real stars were the actual Eurovision performers and winners who cameo'd. Dan Stevens was so over the top in this. Gave me Ben Stiller in Dodgeball vibes. Had me chuckling a few times.
What we got out of this is that whenever Eurovision returns, we'll probably give it a watch.

Thought the Eurovision movie was hilarious. Loved how they made fun of Iceland the whole time, on top of spoofing eurovision.
Reminded of Casa de mi Padre, but funnier.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Finally watched Uncut Gems.
Fantastic film. I love how Safdie brothers make a movie seem like it happens within the space of few days. Always feels like a short story. Amazing at causing anxiety to the viewers lol.
Just like in Good Time, they made the protagonist as much of a POS as possible but you still root for them.
One of the most promising directors out there for sure.

- Spoiler:
It feels like Howard got a good ending for himself but the audience got a shit ending as observers.

Kinda got Euro 2018 vibes. Knowing Will Ferrell's a big football fan, I'm sure thats what he was going for.

Ennio Morricone dies at 91. RIP
Easily the best movie composer ever, with huge catalogue of compositions. Worked until his death.

I agree with Harmonica he is by far the best composer of all time.
Huge loss to Hollywood even if we wasnt very active and my favourite composition of his will be from Once Upon a Time in America.
Even featured in my recently played MGS Ground Zeroes with Heres to You.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Top 10 Morricone Scores
1. Once Upon a Time in the West
2. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
3. Once Upon a Time in America
4. The Untouchables
5. The Mission
6. The Thing
7. Fistful of Dollars
8. 1900
9. The Great Silence
10. For a Few Dollars More
Hateful Eight has great score too, but it's not one of maestros bests. Suffered the same fate as Scorsese in Oscars. Has over 500 feature credits in IMDB, twice that of John Williams.

Although this is credit to Leone I think, there's one of the most genius things ever done in movies. Morricone to Beatles to cover 40 years of change in a single scene.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Blinded By The Light would have been much better if they just committed to making it a full musical imo. Would make for les cringe scenes i what was a very earnest and charming feel good movie. Speaking of which, Sing Street is pretty gucking great (minus the cringe anti-bullying scene).

Just watched The Tax Collector, from David Ayer, who is once again trying to recapture that Training Day magic.
Probably the worst movie I've seen in many years. lmao.
