Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Hopefully Neymar comes back, at this point I would exchange pretty much anyone else other than Messi. Dembele completely deflated on me with his single action last season, the team was in pure downfall after that. I mean omg, what on earth happened there? Messi's look after it was probably the same that Brutus got. Messi with Neymar is proven concept, and should work no problem. That way Messi would get Neymar's prime years, and get the eventual sending off that he deserves.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Suárez has been going downhill for a good year now, if not two. I believe he needs to be transited out too.
I'm surprised by Barcelona's lack of interest or activity in the transfer market so far while Madrid have pretty much finalised their transfers before preseason has even started.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I presume they probably want to settle the Neymar/Griezmann saga first before moving onto other business so I dont expect anything to happen for the duration of Copa America for Brazil apart from departures of Andre Gomes, Cillessen, Rafinha and/or Denis Suarez.

Suarez needs to be phased out but who is the alternative. I look at the market and I see no clear upgrade. Particularly an upgrade who can function with Messi. There is no one out there which is why we just roll the dice with Suarez and save the money for now. Dont spend on Griezman or Neymar. Maybe someone breaks through or maybe we work on a long term project to bring in Mbappe.

Apparently it has something to do with balancing the books, thus like most clubs, are waiting until July 1st to start wheeling and dealing.
From what I’ve read Greaseman is 100% signed and will become official July 1st (or sometime after that date). Jackasses are still being linked to wanting to bring in Neymar also and Felipe Luis on a free.
Really, really idiotic stuff. Not sure if this is Abidal, Bart, Valverde, the board or all of them but these bits make no damn sense. We shouldn’t be going for felipe luis (or Guerrero from Dortmund for that matter)

Smh just realized there is really no point in following this transfer window.
We'll sign Griezmann, Felipe Luis, Parejo and we'll be even worse off next season

Dani Parejo? He's a stable performer, but he's 30, man. A bit of an odd transfer target for a club like, Barcelona. Then again, many of your transfer targets have been odd for quite a while now.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Not sure where the Parejo rumours come from tbh. He's a great player but almost a Valencia icon. And Valencia are apparently going to spend big this season to advance in CL. I can't imagine them letting go of their best players easily.
Re: Transfer Rumours V6
On multiple occasions there were rumors that Valverde "likes Parejo" and would like to have him in the team.
The imbecile doesnt realize this is Barca and not Bilbao.
Felipe Luis is 33 as well.... Get a grip of this. How can you be so daft.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
news in Romania claims Ianis Hagi is set to sign for Barca. Believed to be one of those B team signings with a promise to promotion in 1 season.
I liked him a lot at the U-20s. A future midfield of Alena, Hagi, De Jong, Arthur, Puig is interesting.

The signing of Neymar advances rapidly, the club did not think it would advance this fast. The truth is that the Brazilian already is really close to a return to Barça. [sport]

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Sporting-wise, would gladly trade Dembélé and Coutinho for Neymar. Don't know what it says about the club to take back someone who tried to sue them for compensation though. lol I guess he can crawl back and apologize that he was mislead by his entourage etc. yadda yadda
Ideally we would trade Messi for Neymar, buy Griezmann and play Neymar-Griezmann-Dembélé frontline which gives us everything. Pace on the flanks, dribbling, workrate, movement. Shame it's impossible to let go of Messi. I don't see Messi lasting much longer, 2 seasons tops, his fitness level is shocking for modern pro football.

I would go for the latter. It would instantly improve the team quite significantly. Alas, it would be harakiri for Barto so no chance.

Coutinho, Griezmann and Messi
They couldn't have picked three more incompatible players.

Neymar does not plan to ever train with PSG again and wants his move to Barça to be resolved as soon as possible. [sport]

Why did we let Alves go again. Bossing it against Argentina. Best player on the pitch.

It's unfair he is still sooo good.
And it's more like he left us because he didn't feel valued

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
It was stupid to not value him highly. He is the GOAT RB, a supreme competitor and he can still play at an elite level. He would have provided the fire and competitiveness we have lacked in recent years in Europe.
Deserves to lift a trophy with Brazil. Has provided leadership which they have severely lacked in previous tournaments with the likes of Thiago Silva and Neymar leading them.

Jordi Mestre was completely against the return of Neymar, and that ultimately made him resign from Barça. [el chiringuito]
Sporting director Pep Segura will most likely announce his resignation today in a meeting with Bartomeu. [md]
seems like the Neymar return is real.

Griezmann came
When will we learn? Another expensive old signing on massive wages. He cant play ahead of Messi which means it will be Suarez and Messi up top with Griezmann left. Good luck with that.

Tomorrow, Neymar will meet with PSG sporting director, Leonardo Araujo, to express his desire to leave PSG. Ney has already told him, but only over the phone. The player doesn’t want to join the preseason to avoid conflict, as all the PSG players know he wants out. [uol esporte]

Bonkers if this happens. Doesn't really seem realistic.
Perhaps they see Griezmann as an AM because he's good in the middle behind a striker, especially at not losing the ball.
