One thing I would be hoping from Griezmann apart from his attacking abilities, is his combativeness and defensive duties actually, I think hes ok in that department since hes used to doing those with Atletico and France? Since thats an area we have been lacking badly with so many of our players getting older and just unable to do last season.

Yes, he works hard defensively but where does he play. If the intention is to play him LM, then he is wasted. Waste of $120m as he will be completely ineffective there. If we wanted to go after a big name player, should have gone for a midfielder like Pogba. Would have been perfect for our midfield.

Its not rocket science to make a solid team if you have the means Barca have. But if in the process of building the team you're selling generational players like Thiago then good luck.

They're neglecting all areas on the pitch other than the forward line.

Looking at the past few years we've signed incredible forwards to pair up with Messi (Suarez, Neymar, Griezmann) but in midfield and defense???? It's been shambolic. Nobody worth of note was signed. Vidal? Gomes? They were just fillers. Arda fucking Turan? Don't get me started. Sergi Roberto playing in mid? Everyone sees he's a talent-less melt. Lucas Digne..... Prince Boateng. WTF?! No thought was given to these transfers! They were literal FILLERS just so they could pat themselves on the back and say 'Hey, we made signings, it's not our fault they're shit!".

They start building from the Attack then move on to Defense/Midfield while it should be the other way around. Start building from the middle!! Messi is the reason they're always strenghtening the attack because they believe he'll win the games on his own with the help of 2 other WC forwards.

No Messi and you dont have the incredible financial burden and the need to please & feed the beast! It's become abundantly clear.

Hyperbole. It is still a class squad and was in every season that we have won La Liga. Except maybe 17-18 season. Neymar had left and Dembele was injured throughout. Coutinho came in winter. Still, it was a very good team.
