Thoughts on England-Cameroon.

England's players handled Cameroon's immaturity well and with class. I agree with the spirit of Neville's words, but something about how he expressed those opinions bothers me. Not sure exactly what that something is though.

Cameroon were out of sorts from the off. A mess defensively and lacking confidence. They lacked leadership on the pitch and on the bench so it's not surprising they imploded the way they did. I hope they receive more resources from their FA so they have a better calibre of coach who can help them channel that frustration and passion more constructively.

As for England, they were very poor and they'll get thumped by Norway if they play like this in the next round. They are a better team than that.

Brazil paid the price for totally ignoring their next generation of players and relying far too much on Marta, Christiane and Formiga. All are fine players, but this is a WC where they should be starting to take a step back and let the next generation step up. The stagnancy in not doing this is why they're out now.

The fact that the US match isnt on regular TV here is absolutely ridiculous, and just another sign of the lack of respect execs show female athletes in this country.
