Re: 2019 Women's World Cup
Like I said...."acting" professional means different things to different people. The reason we're even having this discussion is because we can't agree on what it means to be "professional". And that's because it's subjective. Always has been and always will be.
I consider them doing their job (playing the game and winning) to be professional. Whatever comes next isn't part of that definition, at least to me anyway. Some of you believe differently. This isn't a topic that's going to have winners and losers. Just different opinions and perspectives.

Scotland vs Japan just starting.
So happy to see Jun Endo get her first world cup start!!! She, as a kid, survived the Tsunami in Fukushima that came after the 2011 earthquake

Scotland has turned really dirty here. They know they cant handle Iwabuchi at all.

All those ladies retired. Most of the current girls are new to the set up.

For good reason. You guys got a solid team, but you havent came up against Iwabuchi or Hasegawa yet

Re: 2019 Women's World Cup
It's scary how good that England has gotten since 2015. Argentina are scrappy and are physical, but England shouldn't have too much of a problem with them.
Italy with 2 wins in the group as well so far. Absolute waxing of Jamaica. Been a good matchday so far.

England should handle Argentina with ease.
I have been very impressed with the BBC coverage. I got caught out and had to watch the Fox Coverage for China vs South Africa yesterday and bawked when one of the US commentators called a South African striker lazy and stupid for getting caught offsides
Wont make that mistake again hopefully. Firestick is gonna be on me in case I get caught with a group wanting to watch.

Re: 2019 Women's World Cup
I've been watching the games mostly in the breakroom at work. The US commentary has been ok so far. Not as bad as with previous tournaments. I'm a little surprised by that. Fox has done a good job so far though. If only they find a way to not give Alexi Lalas any airtime though.

It was the color commentator for the match and in the second half. I know the voice, but I dont know the name. Its the lady with the deeper voice.
Definitely agree with them keeping Alexi locked up.

Re: 2019 Women's World Cup
As bad as Argentina are, they held japan by the grace of god and are holding England.
They are going to force Japan and England to take the last game very serious. Especially if they can sneak a goal against a shaky Scottish defense on the last day.

I like how smug he looks whenever his co-commentator asks him a question. Its like he closes his eyes and smirks like the word of the prophet Muhammed is gonna come out of his mouth whenever he speaks.
