It seem like if Barca wanted to keep De Jong they would find a way even without a dramatic payout. So what is the story, what is the true assessment of De Jong. It is not good when the GOAT midfielder Xavi does not rate him.

From What I've gathered from fans and the little I've seen, he's absolutely not some generational talent. I don't think you need him, we probably do but I don't give a shit if he stays/goes elsewhere.
