Tbh the first season isn't all that good and Moss is the only character that stood out. But it remain somehow watchable and the episode at Gay Show was funny enough to maintain interest. Overall the quality has been a crescendo so far, so i'll keep watching it.
Think a lot of the humor is tied to the use of the language and its applicability in certain situations. You have to be around that kind of humor since a long time to appreciate it imho.

Very short. 6 episodes per season which are 20 mins. I was watching a season per day, takes 2 hours.

Watched David Simon's The Deuce. Wow, Simon really does know how to make a show The atmosphere he creates and the performances he gets are phenomenal. It was great, obviously does not reach the heights of The Wire but expecting it to is holding it to an unfair standard. Had gripes with some annoying characters and storylines but overalls it pretty great stuff. Will definitely watch Treme next. Don't know why I ignored it over the years.

Saw Watchmen in the beginning of the quarantine. One of the best show i’ve watched. The acting from King & Irons, the score, writing and the overall theme

Treme is great, M99.
Finally got around to going to New Orleans last year because of that show. Great show about a great city.

That Fistful of Paintballs episode is a masterpiece
Luckily I've believed to Nish and Rincon's hype on Community at the end.

Took a while but finally finished The Office UK
can't believe how much i ended up liking it. It's fantastic in its own way. Definitely see why it's rated as one of the best.
Great ending too.

I never thought I’d say this, but the US version is better. They have relatively different atmospheres, but The Office US is simply the more entertaining show. If you liked the UK version, I‘d be surprised if the US version doesn’t appeal to you. Dwight Schrute is just a genius, oddball character.

Its great but season 2 is almost exactly the same as season 1. He will have to be more creative for S03

I still think the best part of this series is that its so real, we've been or had people who have been in this same situation. Gervais masterclass here, extremely well written first season. Can't wait for the second. Let's see.
PS: I love the dog

Yeah, I love it for the same reason too, and I love Ricky as a stand-up as well, but still I think he could've done a little more in S2.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
I don’t think I have ever seen a Rickey Gervais movie or show, I think I have seen an appearance there and there . My first introduction to him was a Conan interview, way back when he had his old gig on NBC. Couldn’t stand him and his punchable face. To this day I still can’t stand him, and I have no idea what he has been up to or done in the last 10 years.
