The Expanse has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. If this doesn't tell people that ratings matter more than critic opinions, nothing will.

The very fact that an inferior show like Krypton actually has better ratings (and was renewed) is another indicator.

Exactly. Outside of Killjoys (which will end after its upcoming final season too) and The Magicians, Syfy are dead to me.

FOX have cancelled Lucifer too. That one I'm not super broken up about as it had declined massively from where it started. That 1st season was really good. Never got back to that.

shame, i shelved The Expanse temporarily about 6+ months ago halfway through Season 2 IIRC. But it was good. Apparently Fox are going hard canceling a bunch of loved shows, smh. They have WWE programming coming IIRC. Probably a pipe dream but Netflix did say they wanted to focus on some Sci-Fi shows going forward so maybe they'll save it. Especially with how good the critical response to the show is.

I also enjoyed throwing on Brooklyn nine nine now and then as it shows on TV here and seems pretty popular. Not all that bothered since I didn't keep up with it week to week but it was one of the better comedies I'd seen in the last few years.

oh and Krypton looked terrible. Of course that stays around lol. People are saying Gotham is probably on the executioners block too, and that kinda sucks as I'd watched a few eps of that and planned to get into it properly at some point.

Gotham has had it's ups and downs, but overall it has kept me engaged. Current season is pretty damn bonkers. That said and despite it being officially on the bubble. I think it's safe though (for now anyway) as it's the strongest performer on the night it airs.

Here's a good rundown of everything that's been cancelled or is ending as well as everything that has been renewed or is on the bubble - All the canceled and renewed TV shows from the 2017-’18 season

Some of those renewed shows really make my head hurt.

IMO every bit as good.

I think it has the potential to be HBO's next big series after GOT ends.

SyFy is too small a network to produce such an expensive show tbh. It's always on my "let's watch it later" list but I hope Amazon/Netflix/Hulu picks it up

Yeah agreed. This is one of those things that makes so much sense for Netflix that it probably won't happen. And that's even more tragic.

I'm reading that it is not actually owned by SyFy but by the production company and they are already shopping it around. Hopefully something comes from it.

So it looks like Gotham has been renewed for a 5th season, however this is going to be its last. It'll be 13 episodes instead of the usual 22.

And Seann William Scott, Stiffler from American Pie, is replacing Clayne Crawford on Lethal Weapon. He'll be playing a different character, meaning they're likely to kill off Riggs. I feel like this is the death knell for that show. Should've just cancelled it.

Amazon Studios is in talks to revive one of CEO Jeff Bezos' favorite properties.

The retailer and streaming outlet is near a deal to revive space drama The Expanse for a fourth season just 10 days after Syfy canceled the series. Amazon Studios declined comment as sources note the deal is not closed.

only me and Tom watched it, though I dropped it last season, got kinda stale, some good stuff though

you need to watch Justified though if you didn't already, especially since it has some western themes
