Signing a keeper better than Cech at the moment wouldn't be that difficult. But signing a keeper on the level of De Gea, someone who will win games on his owns with his saves? That's tough, especially for a club outside of the Champions League with limited funds to spend.

Keepers used to be ridiculous undervalued (look at how much De Gea and Lloris went for a few years ago, it's a joke). Now you have Atleti asking for £88m for Oblak and Roma asking for £60m for Allison. If one of those two leaves for those amounts the entire keeper market is going to shift drastically.

We're not going to know how good he is until he plays in our system.

One thing to remember with Dortmund is that their defence was suicidal under Bosz and that might not have helped their defenders at all. Sokratis wasn't the only one to struggle, afaik.

We don't know yet how Emery will set the team up exactly but I'm pretty confident we won't be as reckless.

What we do know is that Sokratis won't improve Arsenal on his own. It has to be a team-wide improvement in the way we defend. If we get a good pressing system going like Emery wants, all of our defenders will look a lot better.

In advanced talks with so many players, don't know whether to be excited or whether it's just tabloid frenzy.

How is Torreira? If he is good and has potential to improve starting XI, I would be happy with Sokartis, Soyunku, Torreira and Adli for defense and midfield buys. Then hopefully we could look into a goalie and winger later on in the market.

Reports in Portugal are suggesting that Gelson Martins and William Carvalho are filing for the termination of their Sporting contracts on the count of unsafe working conditions.

Apparently, they'll withdraw their requests if Sporting's chairman resigns, but they have just seven days to do so.

We're being linked a lot with Martins. One to keep an eye on, I think.
