Doesn't have the mentality for it.

Buffon wanted to become a legend and was never satisfied with himself no matter what.

Dollarumma thought he was a legend already, and acted accordingly.

That being said, I think he will have a long career as a solid GK with some outstanding moments, but will never be in the top tier of GK as long as he doesn't improve his weak mentality.

The fact that he has convinced himself that the Benzema play was a foul and no one can tell him otherwise, is a glimpse of his current mentality. It’s never good when as a professional you refuse this categorically (to the point of getting upset) to second guess yourself
