South American bias? I dunno

Its clear that Donnarumma isn't happy with his current predicament, especially since Raiola talked to the press so bluntly as of late

This guy could have been an absolute legend of AC Milan, bigger than Maldini.

Can't say I feel sorry for him. Though this is only to put pressure on PSG to make him definite number 1 and it's only a matter of time till that happens.

I laugh at his sorrows

You know it's bad when Milan, Inter, Juve fans all agree you've been a greedy asshole

That said i hope Ferrari guy is monitoring the situation and willing to pay the price. Most probably for a short loan which is ideal. Szczesny's poor positioning nearly cost us another match on wednesday. Is it right to assume the relation with Milan is broken and he'll never go back ?

Maldini didn't burn those bridges, but I think Milan fans, in general, wouldn't like him to come back.

Currently, Magnian is a very acceptable replacement.

It must be a bit ego shattering to know after all the fanfare, you're the 2nd choice keeper.

Honestly, Donna will be the first choice keeper but a bit of patience and can-do attitude is more suited to this battle than complaining to the press as his competition is a bit unique to him.

Navas was very much liked at Levante, liked at Madrid (despite upper management's awful attempts at replacing him) and now, is liked at PSG by both Poch and his peers. And to add further, Navas is reported to be no slouch at training either. So, a hard working employee who is generally liked at his workplace vs the newcomer whom while is highly rated, is moaning about playing time despite the season not even ten games in (league wise).

This should be interesting to say the least.

Oh, for the love of god, enough with the greedy nonsense, you guys have no idea what you're talking about. The guy was dead set on coming to Juve, even for less than what Milan offered, but it didn't work out, so he was left holding the bag.

Juve told Raiola in March (I bet it was much earlier, though) that they were interested in him, but that they first had to get rid of Szcsesny and Donnarumma liked the idea so much that he started talking during NT breaks like he was going to be a Juve player. The problem was that Szczesny became the old Szczesny and, with Paratici gone, there was not enough will inside the club to make the thing happen. It was Raiola's fault for not tempering the kid's expectations instead of letting him dream on. It also didn't help that we spent the summer negotiating only one player in order to accommodate Mr Ronaldo's salary, only for him to decide to bail at the last minute

No, but he is preferred by them, specifically Neymar and Di Maria and, by association, Messi. I actually heard about this two or three weeks ago while I was listening to a podcast

It's a nonsense article...  the source is similar to the Daily Mail lol.

And he's not the 2nd choice keeper.  He was the starter in the CL game.  They're just sharing games.  Donnarumma is going to be the number 1 soon.  He just has to compete for it.  Namely, he has to actually play better than Navas.

He's fine with it too from reliable media sources.  He knew what he was getting into.

Navas will get moved at some point.  Likely this winter or next summer.  They just didn't want to give him given the depressed market for transfers.  Hoping for better offers.  His contract runs until 2024, so next summer is ideal (2 years left on contract).

Navas is a great keeper. Why would a young lad come in and immediately displace him as a starter? Its not like Mendy coming in with Kepa as first choice

Costa Rica isn't in South America

Listen to all the South Americans telling you Laughing

The greater definitions are North and South America. South America runs from the souther tip to halfway into Panama.

North America is more commonly split into North and Central America. Central America in this sense runs from Panama to southern part of Mexico. Mexico as a whole is by all definitions part of North America.

I mean Costa Rica clearly isn't South American ... but

..what is Trinidad? @Doc

It's Carribean yet just a few miles off Venezuela isn't it? Is it correct to call it Middle American (or Central..) and not South American?

Or let me guess ... Carrribeans consider themselves their own continent?

Caribbean and we are not a continent as the Caribbean is a group of islands (plus Belize & (British) Guyana). I believe that'll be considered an archipelago. The closest Caribbean country to Venezuela is Guyana (bordering one another). 2nd closest is Trinidad and Tobago.

Costa Rica is very much in Central America and no where near South America. Closest Central America country is Panama and they are bordering Colombia.

The question was tonguue in cheek...

but I'm surprised to hear that Guyana is considered a Carribean country since it's on the South American mainland? The Carribean islands are considered part of central America, after all?
And why is Belize included?

It has to do with culture, language, and history.

Basically Venezuela and the Guyanas share little besides the fact that we border British Guyana and it was once 1 territory. Same with Brazil and the Guyanas and Suriname.

For an example, to fly to Suriname or French Guyana you usually have to go to the Caribbean, and then back into those countries, as there aren't even direct flights from Caracas.

There is so much disconnection that the first Surinamese person I met was in The Netherlands, in many years in Venezuela I saw 0, regardless of being neighboring countries. This differences are also why they don't play in CONMEBOL.

It's the same reason why Belize is included in the Caribbean. They speak English and feel a lot closer to the islands in some senses.
