It's not good. I can't see it, really. They always show scenes from it in film classes etc.

You are the only man who's ever touched me.
That line broke me. First time he let out his feelings all movie basically.
oh yea that. Are you sure that was the very last line though?
I remember the last shot was them being viewed from the side through the door, can't remember though if they said anything in that moment.

It was the first part of the last line, I'm pretty sure. He repeats some of the line after.
- Spoiler:
- He says " You're the only one... I haven't really touched anyone since" I think. And then you see them hold each other. It's all basically one line though. But the first part absolutely killed me.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
can't remember the last time Fassbender was in a great movie (as a lead) with a memorable performance tbh, in danger of becoming a flop IMO, at the very least his career hasn't reached the heights it was supposed to (thus far)
@Freeza
I saw Shame a few months ago which was good, but that released in 2011
I guess Prometheus? he was decent in that, movie was kinda lukewarm though

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
he was the best part about those but that's not saying much
speaking of xmen though, heard they're looking at making a new one based on the dark phoenix saga
I still haven't watched age of apocalypse actually and doubt I'll bother, heard nothing but bad things and Apocalypse looks horrible

Apocalypse was the definition of meh. Really disappointed with what they did with the best villain and storyline of the X Men comics.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Including my huge war bias, I'd give Hacksaw Ridge a 4.5/5. Here are my reasons:
1. The explained the situation of a conscientious objector in the best way possible, There was one in the 101st Airbone as well. The job of a medic in war as well.
2. The storyline stays completely true to Doss, No deviations whatsover, Nowhere i felt a scene was not required in the movie.
3. The horror of war was portrayed in a decent way. I would argue only Saving Private Ryan and Enemy at the Gates would still rank above this in the genre of mainstream movies. Also the madness of the imperial Japanese soldiers, Oh my the things ive read about them.
4. Full marks to Garfield. He was brilliant from start to finish. I still need a few movies to remove the memories of him in teen flicks.
5. What a *bleep* scene when he finally comes down the hill. Soundtrack was also really on point.
Cons:
1. The chick deserved lesser attention.
2. CGI sucked, How do the movies made in 1990's seem more realistic?

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Flop?
Fassbender has continued to be great in everything he's done.
EDIT: Rewatched Arrival. I was expecting it to be a lot different and I wasn't sure in a good or bad way. Have to say, the rewatch was fantastic. I should have expected a movie that's largely about communication and perspective would only appreciate in value after watching it again. The amount of other things you pick up on that I didn't notice the first time and take on a new meaning, ridiculous. It's also just so well made.
Think I have to give it a tie for movie of the year with La La Land. La La Land was special but Arrival is too

Yvonne Strahovski joins Predator
This Predator movie written and directed by Shane Black is turning into one of my most anticipated movies of the next couple of years. Love the cast. And he's one of the best directors out there.

This is going to be the most important piece of movie news for the entire industry this decade.
This could change everything.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
I need to go see the second one, first was one of my favorite western action movies in YEARS
I had actually never heard of it when it released and laughed when someone was telling me a Keanu Reeves movie was GOAT, was happy to eat crow after watching it

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
It's probably because he had like 10 dialogues in the film. Was just non-stop action. Badass film. He looked classy AF. Couldn't tell he was 50.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
I'm going to have to watch it again.
I didn't have the same reaction as everyone else.
lasted only about 30 minutes in to the movie. Couldn't take another second of Theon's Russian accent
