Been a while since I had my mind blow by a film, wow what a film. Best of the year so far.

Vileneuve is the new Ridley Scott.

I'm not so sure about that accent Andrew Garfield is trying to do...

His accent was great in Hacksaw imo. If he'd gone for the real guy's accent it would've been awful and you would think it was even worse. The real Desmond Doss is impossible to understand without subtitles.

I really think most of the accent problem is due to us being familiar with the real voice. Usually I forget about it 2 minutes into a movie if it's passable.

Nah I somewhat disagree. While I see your point. I feel some actors are just better at pulling off foreign accents. There's a difference between someone whose voice you are familiar with but can pull of a great or more than reasonable foreign accent, and someone who you see trying it but just struggling maintaining the proper articulation.

I just think there's often a hate on famous actors pulling these accents. Also it's never taken into account how different accents can be from person to person when speaking. There's a 100 different kinds of accents from any language.

Have you seen Hacksaw yet? It bothered me in the trailer, but I didn't mind it at all in the film. It's usually just something you get used to.

I'm just imagining if he went for a Ronaldo-like accent with that Russian sound.

Unless the accent is noticeably horrible and incomprehensible, I never have problem with accents. Garfield's accent seems good in the trailer.

Is Jason Bourne worth watching?

I don't want to waste 2 hours if it's not.

Look up the real Desmond Doss online and listen. Imagine Garfield doing that full-on in Hacksaw

That's why I'm asking because a very good copy is out and I'm wondering if it's worth wasting any time over.

huh, not sure I've seen Alien: Resurrection, only the first 3, didn't know there was a fourth

first two were worth it 100%, third was pretty meh but might be worth watching if you're bored

The 4th is supposed to be the shittiest one (Alien Resurrection).

The 3rd by Fincher is apparently not that good either.

The fist 2 are considered goat. 5th one (Prometheus) is very good.

I really liked Prometheus despite its backlash, mind that i haven't seen the previous Alien movies

it was good but not as good as I'd expected

Avatar 2's release date could be December 21, 2018.
