Same feeling with the twist. Knew there was some sort of twist but was completely tacken aback by what the twist actually was.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
I loved The Others. One of the few horror films I liked.
If you don't mind foreign language films then I suggest Let The Right One In. Its really highly rated but I found it overrated. The directing and cinematography are really good and so is the acting.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
I finally got round to Watching Creed, Hateful Eight and The Revenant lol.
Creed.
Really enjoyed the whole story behind all of it, not a great lover of Rocky films but i really enjoyed this one. Was really surprised they got legit boxers involved too Both Jordan and Stallone were great IMO i can see why the film was praised so highly and i imagine a sequel is going to happen now?
Hateful Eight
So so *bleep* weird, where to start though lol? the whole chapters intermitten bullshit was strange enough but to keep it doing was just really weird just as the film gets going " end of chapter **" I did think it was a good film though, especially the women ( name escapes me apologies) who put in a great performance i thought.
Not really much else to say though, it was good and most of twists seemed quite predictable for the most part but it was an enjoyable 2 hours or so which never quite managed to keep momentum going when ever it picked up.
The Revenant
Fantastic and the best of the 3 i watched imo, didn't know quite what to think early on but as it progressed and it became obvious how much of a self centered asshole Tom Hardy's character was which was not something i had expected going in.
The bear scene blew me off a little bit, i just couldn't take a bear mauling you 3 SEPERATE times and you are going to be alive. Even though it's quite obvious he suffered a lot and it took a lot for him to recover obviously that just flat out wouldn't happen.
It all to me culminated in the loss and recovery Di Caprio's character had been through ( which i assume was the death of Son and Wife?) compared to the self centered asshole nature of someone who seemed little more than a mercenary but played to absolute perfection in Hardy.
Throughly enjoyed the finale of it all tbh, everything about it from trying to find each other in the wood to ending stabbing each other by the river i felt it was thoroughly satisfying.

Creed is most likely getting a sequel after Black Panther has come out. Doubt Jordan is coming back without Coogler.

The Revenant is based on a true story. Hugh Glass never had a wife and son but he did get pretty badly mauled by a bear and survived. He was left for dead and trekked for 200 miles despite his injuries.

Was he as mauled as that though?
I just find it hard to believe a Bear would not only maul you not once, not twice but 3 times But also ignore you each time in the middle of killing you lol.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
The reality often is more unbelievable, which is why in most cases movies has to tone it down. Has been done so many times. The 'unrealistic' scene in Fury was inspired by a more ridiculous real event.
Omar in the wire survived a 2 story fall. IRL it was a 5 story jump etc.

I laughed out loud at the bear scene. It was after I heard the rape jokes and I saw where they came from. Legit looked like it was trying to rape him

Tom Hardy delivered one of his best performance easily. Maybe even his best.

1408 (2007)
One of the worst films I have ever seen in my life. Absolute waste of time. Garbage film. It was bad enough John cussack was in it but the entire plot and acting in it was shocking. Can't believe Samuel Jackson even agreed to this film.
Should have had a parody tag in it instead of horror
2/10

Just watched The Thing (1982) for the first time 8.4/10
Great scifi horror flick. RG check it out. Great acting, suspenseful as hell to the very last minute.

Most def. This one feels a bit more Hollywood though. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Robert Richardson is the DP on this

Not a bad cast as well.
Leo DiCaprio apparently producing this as well along with Affleck.

Everybody Wants Some!! was a lot of fun to watch, and a lot funnier than I expected. 7.6/10
Cast of a lot of people I didn't know but I was impressed. Story was alright, fairly simple really. Writing was good and more than anything it was just funny and had a great nostalgic feel and soundtrack. Pretty good movie that I enjoyed watching.
