The Guest, The Gift and Green Room.

Can you really classify The Guest as a horror tho? Seems like a blend of a lot of genres, its a weird one to even classify, felt more of a thriller with 80s vibe to it to me

Second half is 100% horror. And RG is really kind of looking for thrillers I'd assume. I felt The Guest was a thriller turned Slasher.

Saw Blood Father because my friend claimed it was great. Wouldn't call it a great film but I definitely enjoyed it. The writing was meh but Gibson's performance was great.

It was great for what it was imo. A fairly standard revenge b-movie thriller. The thing that made it great for that type of movie was the performances. Diego Luna is always amazing, Gibson and Macy likewise, Erin Moriarty really surprised me. Hope we'll see more of her. She hasn't really had the change to shine in either Jessica Jones or Kings of Summer.

A Woman in Black. It has some supernatural vibes but it is very atmospheric.

Event Horizon. One of my favorite movies ever. It has sci-fi elements, which just mend very well with the horror aspects. I also liked Pandorum, although that's more an Aliens type. Oh, and you can't go wrong with the Thing!

It Follows was lots of fun.

I've seen shutter island but i won't call that horror by any means. Love that film though

I am looking for a film which has a horror tag in it as well so a bit stronger than just thriller. For example this film i am looking at 'Sinister'

It's my fav Wes

Tenenbaums didnt strike the chord with me for some reason like the others did. But having said that the margin in that list is pretty damn low. I mean I like all his films including Tenenbaums. But it just that I liked the rest more thats all. Smile

"Don't Breathe" RG. It was pretty good. Psychological thriller. Not exactly a horror movie. The blind man in that was frikkin scary anyway.

Bone Tomahawk - 7.7

Definitely recommend. It's a western thriller. A bit slow in the first two acts but the 3rd act pays off the patience. Has one of the most brutal scenes I have ever seen in history of film.

Fantastic Mr. Fox - 8.1

Wes Anderson delivers again  Beautiful film. Wasn't going to ever watch until I saw you guys discussing it in this thread so thanks for that, definitely worth watching. Kristofferson

My WA list, only seen 4 of his films:
1. The Grand Budapest Hotel - 8.2
2. FMF/Moonrise Kingdom - 8.1
3. Rushmore - 7.7

So many great moments.

Haven't seen The Conjuring 2. The Conjuring is incredibly overrated, the only thing I liked about it was the fact that it had Ron Livingston in it.

The Ring (2002)

Eh, it was ok. Most noticeable thing about this film was how bad the acting was. Some of the scenes were hilariously bad.

I didn't find anything scary apart from the last scene involving the TV.

Film overall was boring. 1st and 2nd half were specially bad. last act was good. Didn't see the twist coming though so the mystery element was decent.

I am not sure if I want to watch The Ring 2. Can't handle Naomi watt's acting again. Her son was probably the worst child actor i've seen.

Naomi Watts is a very good actress. I don't remember much from The Ring to remember the acting as I watched it like in 2003 or 2004.

The Conjuring - decent flick if you're into this kind of thing. I just don't get scared from ghost horror movies at all so it was kind of made the whole point of watching the film moot. Supernatural has made ghosts into joke villains for me. They are like the most poverty supernatural beings.

Definitely passing on The Conjuring 2. Not my thing at all.

I enjoy horror thrillers with human killers. Gonna go into a bit of a home invasion phase.

Watched it when I was a wee lad. Was one of my early movie experiences I can recall, and that wee lad loved it and with that I've always considered it as one of my fave horrors of all time.

What a film

Loved this one. Great performance by Nicole Kidman. Loved the suspense and atmosphere. Bit slow during the 1st act though but they had to build it up.

biggg spoilers
