PSG's problem is that there is no secondary scorer. It's Cavani or nobody. Every elite team has a reliable secondary scorer.
The biggest disappointment this season for PSG has been Di Maria. Typical. Most inconsistent player in the world.
Same problem at Madrid and United. When ever he has a chip on his shoulder or he is playing for a new contract he plays well. Once the dotted line is signed he looks so non nonchalant and blase.

Tbh, modern game relies less on fullbacks who needs to be amazing defensively. Sure, it helps, but they don't need to be as much nowadays. So for that, Aurier is probably going to be great if he does move to a better league. But there is a reason why PSG still rate him highly considering his antics.

Re: Ligue 1 16/17 Thread
Thing with Cavani is that it only looks he is missing chances because his movement enables him to find at least 5 chances more than your average striker. Guy's conversion rate is better than A LOT of players. I think it was around top 10 in europe.

Nice are very good technically, neat and tidy. Impressive for a ligue 1 team.

Cavani misses look far worse because they are unbelievable misses... like he swings with his leg and misses the ball completely

This is a good result for Nice but they should have never let go of a 2-0 lead

Monaco will win Ligue 1 this season imo. They are the best team and they have very good talent.

I hope so. Monaco to balance Ligue and keep it exciting standings wise. Just hoping Lyon and Marseille restore their former glory soon so it can be competitive again.

haven't watched them much this season but from what sports has said, a lot of their 'big' players are severely under-performing

He'd surely be the best RB in the world at some point if he wasn't so apparently *bleep* brain dead

I could have sworn Jardim was criticized for being a defensive coach like a year ago.
What did he change?
