Cavani frustrates me so much. He could have scored 3 goals in the first half! The first one, he pulls out of the challenge with Lafont. The second one, a fluke save. The third one, header right at Lafont.

Damn, Emery really struggling to give Paris any consistency. Can't believe it's Nice of all clubs to be running away with it. They're confident and tough right now.

Re: Ligue 1 16/17 Thread
Again, both Blanc and Carlo started their tenures in similar fashion... namely they sucked for about 2 months lol. OM was running away with the league when Blanc started and Montpellier actually caught and beat out PSG when Carlo started.
It's just a transition. Systems are far too different from Blanc to Emery for the players to pick it up quickly. Also, you can't blame Cavani for this one. Those were good takes. Keeper just made incredible saves.
Emery is making mistakes however. But the players will catch up to him soon enough.

Re: Ligue 1 16/17 Thread
Four times already this season where Pastore is injured/benched (Monaco, ASSE, Toulouse, Ludogorets) and you get terrible performances from the rest of the team. Di María also struggling a lot without Pastore. Changing back to 4-3-3 is a disaster for Emery.
This team needs Pastore more than you think.

Also Cavani's actually thriving now the Ibra's gone. One positive for Emery at least.

It's crazy how many chances Cavani creates for himself with his constant movement... he's already scored 11 goals in 8 starts... and he should probably be at 15-20 goals in the 8 starts

Re: Ligue 1 16/17 Thread
Yeah, and that's what makes Cavani the relevant player that he is. His attacking presence justifies his lack of accuracy in his finishing. That coupled with his work rate make him a constant threat to opposing teams through the 90 mins. He's able to create his own opportunities and I think that is his best game.

Also just found out Ballotelli is suspended for next match. This could be the chance Monaco have been waiting for.

Saw the incident just make sure.
I think it's a fair decision. Ballo didn't do squat.

The fact that Lyon went into the season with only Lacazette as a true CF is amazing to me...

Re: Ligue 1 16/17 Thread
Yup. Fekir isn't a striker and never will be. He's good enough to start up though but it's equivalent of Arshaving starting upfront.
This should be high scoring. Nice still unbeaten.

They're saying Tolisso is going to play CF????
Granted, he's been very good as an attacking player with France U23... but come on lol.
