Very nice goal by PSG. Some very quick passing with a break down the middle from Lucas.

Lille probably had a really good chance from Boufal before but instead of one-timing the shot he took an extra touch for whatever reason and allowed the PSG defence to settle in front of him.

shouldn't Lucas be a winger in your 4-4-2 ? so Veratti instead of motta and put Pastore/Lucas there. In any case Blanc has a lot of options now.

I don't think so. It will be stupid to bench him, he's progressing fast. Blanc dealt very well with sqaud management last year but this year it's also tricky.

Problem is that Motta is so darn good. Di Maria-Ibra-Cavani-Matuidi-Verratti are automatic starters. That leaves 1 spot open for a midfielder. Motta or Pastore? Good problem to have i do think that Motta wins out... even today, Motta was clearly the best midfielder when he came in and Pastore struggled.

Mota will play when fits but he won't be fit that much. He's always been injury-prone and now he's 33.

oh he'll get injured here and there, no doubt.  Di Maria too. But when fit, i don't see how Motta doesn't play...  he's just that good AND his skillset is critical.  He paces the midfield and protects the CBs.  Nobody else on the team can do that.

Pastore will get plenty of starts in any case. Lucas Moura too imo. There are enough games. Remember that there are 2 cups in France too.

Wanted to discuss a bit of Lyon.

I am quite concerned about them tbh.

Last season they were an element of surprise. They over-achieved quite a bit as well. This was the summer they should have focused on their depth and improve the areas where they lack. But they have failed to do that. Players from Guingamp and past it players like Jeremy morel won't improve them.

they are in for a difficult season. Specially in CL.
