First official match i am watching of this 2017-2018 season, thank god Ligue 1 starts so early in August.

This might as well be Mbappé's last match with Monaco.

So what's your prediction (expectations) for the season?

1. What would be the top 4/6 look like?
2. Which three would get relegated?
3. Which team would be the surprise package (dark-horse)
4. Which team would be the disappointment?

Due to my limited (extending to almost zero) knowledge about French League, I have no clue about the last three. All I can assume that come May the table may look like:

NSG
Monaco/OM/Lyon/Nice

To me, PSG, Lille, OM, Lyon, Nice and Monaco are all very competitive.  

OM is about to get Jovetic.  So their lineup will be:

Mandanda
Sakai - Rami - Rolando -Evra
Gustavo
Sanson - Lopez
Thauvin - Jovetic/Germain - Payet

Lyon is going to have it the hardest as they will need to rely on kids and Mariano/Fekir.  I put them in there just because they might come through.

Lille has Bielsa... so they're just difficult to play tactically as he plays crazy formations and the energy is off the charts.  He played a 3-3-1-3 or something like that against Nantes lol.

Nice has a very good coach...  and Seri, Plea, Balotelli, Sneijder, Dante, etc. is fairly talented.

Good league season.

I feel NSG will be run-away winners this time; not because of their own strength but more so due the competitors strengths.

Monaco have already lost some key players and even if they get good replacements, they are unlikely to have the momentum of last season.

I have heard OM has been building their squad over last few seasons, but I believe they are still some paces off challenging for title.

Lyon have lost couple of key players (see Monaco part to complete sentence).

So my assumption is, it will be very tight for the places 2-6 with NSG capitalizing on weakened opponents.

Monaco are keeping Lemar while sending out Fabinho and Mbappe.  I think they're going to make a couple of good signings to end the window as well... Carlos Bacca and Diakhaby from Rennes.

I also heard they're going to make a move on a Ajax player.

They may want PSG to sell them a couple of players too with buyback options for some. Matuidi for one, Krychowiak also and the Argentinian kids that look damn good btw.

Bielsa made all his subs and then the keeper got a red card lol... played a lot of the 2nd half without a proper keeper and it showed. Bad enough to be down to 10 men.
