Tolisso is much too good to be limited to DM. his all around game is fantastic. Gonalons is the DM for Lyon usually.

They usually play Gonalons and Tolisso as deeper, defensive CMs and then put a AM like Ferri in front of them.  They need to cover because the fullbacks are truly awful defensively.

Typically, Lyon plays a 442 or a 4231.

But you're right, Gonalons never moves up because he's poor technically.  So Tolisso ends up being more adventuresome and involved.  He's improved a lot.  Would not be shocked if he became NT level in a year or so.

Nah it was for him stomping on his ankle. It looked like he lost control of himself and just lashed out while running.

@RealGunner agreed, he played with real maturity, this was the kind of game that he would have been lashing out before, little service and lots of fouls.

He didn't have a stand out game, he did the CF job alright but there wasn't enough running and movement, problems he showed before too. A far cry from Belotti or Immobile in this. Only one game though, ill keep watching.

Balo still doesn't use his physique like he should be he doesn't use his speed either. It drives me crazy that he likes to peel off and take the ball outside of the box while standing still.

If he can fix this and commit himself to take advantage of his physical attributes ALONG with his skills... he's Ibra basically. But he doesn't have that commitment. He wants to succeed or fail the way he envisions himself.

Lyon gave Juve a match, all right. Buffon proving vital. Cuadrado shot it with a small angle and made Lopes looks silly. Wondering if OL have the firepower to pull an upset in Turin.

Still not happy about Monaco losing 3-1 over the weekend. I recognize that CSKA can be tough in their turf but I feel like Monaco just made their qualifying tougher by drawing instead of breaking away from the other teams. 2 more wins should see them through the group.
