With that being said, I would sign neither. I don't think we should do a panic buy if the right player isn't available.
This is what I think too! Juve doesn't need a new addition in the midfield compartment just because Pogba leaves.
The squad has already enough depth to cover all the games in a season. Hopefully for Juve, they won't have problems with injuries. Asamoah can easily be a starter in any kind of game in the midfield. With Marchisio back, with a fit Khedira, if you don't sell Pereyra (heard some rumours, don't know if they were true) and with Pjanic, you already have a list of top class midfielders. And I didn't even mention Sturaro or HERNANES. Pjaca is versatile and young, can always play CAM if needed.
So, I guess the midfield is from Hero to Great, but the team overall considering the latest arrivals is from Hero to Amazing!

I am surprised , I think you made good points because most of times you don't I think we have good players but what worry most of us is the injury problems but it is up to Juventus to decide if they trust the players or not

Rotate Lemina with Asamoah (great in preseason) Lemina can be a great WC player.
Sell Hernanes and/or Pereyra. Pjaca can be AM/TQ sign one quality CM and we are done.

Witsel would not be a panic buy. We've been linked to him for weeks and an offer has already been made.
Marchisio, Asamoah, Khedira are injury prone.
Sturaro, Lemina, Pereyra are unproven yet talented.
I see the Belgian as an insurance policy in case of injury/misform. Someone that can alternate around 3rd to 5th choice midfield depending on the situation.

Matic is coming. Conte has Juventino DNA. He will let Matic go once Marotta has a little talk with him to show him who's boss...

Re: The Midfield: From Hero to Zero?
Because of this?
lucianomoggi wrote:Vlad the Impaler wrote:We don't know that Pogba will leave Juventus. He will probably not leave Juve; it's all speculation over the web; no clear evidence of this transfer, right? Shouldn't you make plans only if it's something concrete?
Last summer there were many rumours regarding De Gea's move to Real Madrid since July. Pursuant to what the web and media said, he was Real Madrid's player since August. Finally, we found out that Real Madrid didn't even make an offer for him until the last days of the summer transfer window.
this one will not fail trust me
JUVENTUS want HIGUAIN
MAN UNITED want POGBA
the price is not expensive it is reasonable, the negotiations has their own ways but it will be around 100 million

There's no need to be arrogant in my opinion. I genuinely wanted to find your opinion on what should I do and I combined it with a little joke, but to be clear, I really respect what you think of me.

Re: The Midfield: From Hero to Zero?
Now, who should we get
Since there aren't many quality players available to replace the prodigal son, should we go for a temporary solution and make our assault on Verratti next season or the one after ?

Re: The Midfield: From Hero to Zero?
Matic if he's possible. And add another player on top of that unless Asamoah can finally stay fit.
No point trying to make a big splash on a CM this Summer. None out there that are really feasible. In 12 months time however who knows who wants a move.

Verratti just extended so it'll still be tough but yeah
I like our team right now as it is, unless Matic is available- he brings that "steel" to our midfield
But who knows, maybe Pereyra bounces back, maybe Lemina does well, maybe Sturaro shines. Realistically, Pjanic is a very different type of midfielder compared to Pogba, with Pjanic being a Pirlo type, controlling midfielder, a player like Sturaro could look very good next to him (Gattuso like).
