Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Very lucky win for Bremen, It was one way traffic for about 70 minutes, but VW could not score. I think it was something like 25-5 in shots.
Werder now a mere 12 points from a Europa spot.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I am guessing Martin Schmidt is the next manager to get fired?
The Pretenders concede the first goal of the day at home to Mainz. Simple goal from a corner kick.
RedBull take an early lead vs Koln as well.

HT Scores
Leipzig - Köln -:- (2:0)
Freiburg - Dortmund -:- (0:1)
From what I have seen Dortmund still look te be having a tough time getting the ball in the net.
Bayern - Hamburg -:- (3:0)
Hamburgers getting fried
Leverkusen - Mainz -:- (0:2)
Should never underestimate the Pretenders. Just when you figure they cant lose to a little team like Mainz at home, they go right out and prove you wrong
Darmstadt - Augsburg -:- (0:0)
Leipzig - Köln -:- (2:0)
Freiburg - Dortmund -:- (0:1)

Thorsten Frings XI score. A good result if they win, for Bremen.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Lots of goals to start the 2nd half
Leipzig - Köln (Sa.) 2:1 (2:0)
Koln starting the half off strongly
Freiburg - Dortmund 0:2 (0:1)
BVB maybe getting back their scoring touch?
Bayern - Hamburg 5:0 (3:0)
It is official, HSV is a worse team than Arsenal
Leverkusen - Mainz 0:2 (0:2)
Darmstadt - Augsburg 1:1 (0:0)
Was hoping Frings XI would win this

Where is the Timo Werner appreciation thread???
Koln were getting back in the game before a great solo goal by Timo.
HSV falling apart like a Chinese car.

Fewminutes left in the games
Leipzig - Köln (Sa.) 3:1 (2:0)
Freiburg - Dortmund 0:3 (0:1)
Auba seems to have regained his scoring touch
Bayern - Hamburg 8:0 (3:0)
Theonly bayern player t not score is Thomas Muller
Leverkusen - Mainz 0:2 (0:2)
I think it is time for Felix to return from China to coach the only Bundesliga club he has yet to manage
Darmstadt - Augsburg 1:2 (0:0)

Funnily enough, last week the media were reporting that Martin is supposed to take over from Roger.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Good god Hamburg have been a mess for years. The ambition of the club via Meier goes down by the clock cause of their relegation avoidance. How Gisdol still coaches them is ridiculous and knowing them Labbadia will return for the 6th time. The state of German managers atm is pathetic.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Gisdol has actually done well for them. He brought a sense of stoic calm that was impressive to keep up considering the circumstances.
And results soon followed.
Getting hammered at the Allianz-Arena is not to be put on Gisdol, considering HSV's last 7 away games at Bayern over the last 7 season have seen them concede 44 goals.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Gisdol was good last season but saved as a result of a lot of heroics from their already average squad. Decent coach but has very little ambition shown here so far and is stubborn as an ox. Hamburg need a breath of fresh air as I cant wait to see Robin Dutt or some scrub take over.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
That Werner - Forsberg connection still going strong
A lot of attacking talent for Germany coming up with Werner, Brandt, Gnabry and Sane. Just in time to help the transition of Reus, Özil and eventually Müller.

Looks like Andres Jonker has quit Arsenal as Head of Youth Department and will become the new Wolfsburg manager

I have a good feeling about it today and don't ask me why.. I believe Augsburg is going to beat Leipzig today. I'll go for a 1-0 scoreline.

they came close. Augsburg is a plucky kind of team, a sort of opposite of Bayer team, not a lot of talent, but a lot of heart. It was actually a good game and even though Red Bull had a lot of ball and did most o the attacking, Augsburg could have won in the end.
Today should be a good day for Werder to move away from relegation, yet I have a bad feeling about the game.
Hopefully there is a Karneval in Koln today.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Köln - FC Bayern
I think it is Carneval this week? Is it Lent or whatever it is that makes it Karneval? I am goingin with a good eeling here for Kolnto pull of a win.
1-0
Bremen - Darmstadt
Should be a Bremen win
2-0
Mainz - Wolfsburg
The "New Manager effect" means VW wins.
0-2
Dortmund - Leverkusen
Soon to be new Manager at Aspirin pils
3-2
Hoffenheim - Ingolstadt
Who would have thought Hoff would be doing better than ever after Volland and Firmino let.
3-1
Gladbach - Schalke
The first game of the three game series. For some reason I think Schalke advance in Europa, though maybe not today
2-1
Frankfurt - Freiburg (So.)
Dont know how Frankurt is still in the top half
1-1
Hamburg - Hertha
Hope Hertha does it to the Hamburgers
1-2
