Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
So what are the implications of an exit? Higher taxes?

I'm reading that there are no exit polls
Result won't be until tomorrow morning, anyway.

No one knows. There is no exit strategy. We'll have to wait and see. Any law will take at least 6 months or more to implement anyways. First we have to leave EU properly. It's a lot like a Divorce so nothing is done straight away

Sky reporting that estimated turnout for #euref vote is 83.7%. Higher than any national UK election held since the 1950 general election

Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
HOW PARTIES VOTED
(YouGov poll)
Tory 43 Remain, 57 Leave
Labour 69 Remain, 31 Leave
Libs 73 Remain, 27 Leave
Ukip: 7 Remain, 93 Leave
Clear distinction between right wing and left wing there lol
YouGov poll:
–Remain on 52%
–8% decided how to vote today
–19% expect Leave to win
–75% of 18-24yo for Remain
–7% of UKIP voters went Remain
Not a surprise most young voters + uni students voted Remain

Farage
Said EU is undemocratic. But then followed up by saying too many people got to vote in the referendum and some shouldn't have been allowed to

Ironic how his main goal in life is to get out of the EU but some of the shit he does drives people in the opposite direction.

Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
Newcastle declares its result - and narrowly comes out in support of Remain. Here's the breakdown:
Total ballots counted: 129,072
Remain: 65,404
Leave: 63,598
Turnout: 68%
Not a good result for remain because it was heavily expected them to win by at least 60%. It came down to am atter of 2k votes. If its that close in newcastle then probably will go against remain elsewhere
