Western Europe is also struggling. Italy,Spain, Portugal all of them could use a much lowered currency which will actually reflect their economy. Germany is having unfair advantage due to Euro , thata a facta.

What? It makes no difference to the government whether a nurse is hired from within the UK or from somewhere like Spain. They are both going to be paid exactly the same. The government is forced to hire nurses because of the shortage in the country. It doesn't affect the national minimum wage whatsoever which the government imposes.

Who gets paid on minimum wages? .  I'm not saying immigrants gets paid below minimum wage. I'm saying if it was a free market the Nurses wage should've been much higher than it is now and many more Brits will become nurses bcz of high pay but since government is paying the nurses and since they don't have unlimited budget they instead brings foreigners and keeps the wages from rising. Hence denies free market Economics and denies the Brit nurses the wage they deserve.

If wages are good enough many Brits will come , don't worry about that. That's how free market works in every other sectors, its not any different for nurses.
