Most likely. Not a remake though, an adaptation.

Gyllenhaal next project: Nocturnal Animals directed by Tom Ford
Starring main man Jake, Michael Shannon, Amy Adams, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Kim Basinger, Isla Fisher, and Armie Hammer.
Looks a good cast. Can't wait ffs. Always anticipating Gyllenhaal projects like a religious duty.

Re: The Movie House - Part 5
A bit of besides the obvious ones we already know of Oscar talk knowing we're entering that time again:
Saoirse Ronan who has been previously nominated for her role in Atonement, has been talked up in the historical period drama Brooklyn.
Will Smith is getting buzz for his role in Concussion.
Call it typical out of nowhere Oscar Bait or not, but Adam McKay's financial-crises comedy The Big Short with an all star cast of Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Melissa Leo and wait for it . . . Selena Gomez, has been talked about most recently and with no real big marketing behind it so far compared to the other big films coming up in the next month or two, it could be one of those that progressively gains steam as we edge closer to awards season.
Cate Blanchett. Enough said.
Brie Larson and The Room are in contention as of now.
Bryan Cranston in Trumbo will try to add an Oscar to his collection.
Tom McCarthy's Spotlight starring an actor (Michael Keaton) from last year's eventual winner, is what many critics consider the frontrunner for Best Picture at the moment.
Carey Mulligan in Suffragette.
Charlotte Rampling in 45 Years.

Not so much about his performances as it is to who he was up against during those films

True. That's why 2004 was the only year he should've won. Didn't deserve it over the eventual winners in any other year.

Wait, Inception...
1993: Joseph Fiennes should've won.
2004: was close between him and Jamie, prefer Jamie myself.
2008: Rourke was the one to complain if anyone.
2010: wasn't better than Franco, Bardem or Firth.
2006: wasn't even the best part of The Departed
But I must say from what I've seen so far, Leo looks like he's finally merged into the character he's playing.
The only one where I think he should've or could've won was for Django. Because I don't think an actor should be able to win for the same role twice
