Not just a positive light. He compares the worst movie to Shakespeare, praises the dialogue and indirectly calls A New Hope his worst Star Wars movie. I'm lost for words

He's right about a New Hope
- Spoiler:
- Well i wouldn't go that far, but i would if Episode 2 didn't exist. I don't like it at all tbh.

Are you kidding me?
I would've agreed if he directed Jedi (not a huge fan of that).
Attack of The Clones is just so bad though. Can't get through it.

The last 40 minutes are the best cinema all year of any movie and it's not close. Best of any SW film also.

Re: Star Wars – Official Canon Thread. - RIP Carrie Fisher
Wow. Just wow.
The last act. Unbelievable. Freeza was right about the last 40 minutes. Probably the best I have seen this year and definitely best out of any SW films too. It flew by in seconds.
Cast was excellent. Fantastic acting by everyone.
Spoilers
Must watch tbh. If we compare it to episode 7, episode 7 might overall edge it but Rogue one definitely had better delivery
8.5/10

Spoilers
- Spoiler:
THAT DARTH VADER SCENE HOLY SHIT. I GASPED. THAT MUSIC. THAT SMASH.
Leia at the end Is that what you were talking about Freeza? CGI? It looked pretty fake lol but the hype moment was there.
Obi wan reference
So many deaths though. I think we all saw it coming but all of them hit right in the feels. Daredevil guy was amazing. Riz Ahmed smashed his part. Guy is a great actor. Felicity Jones obviously stole the show.

Went to the midnight screening. Thought character development was pretty bad, couldn't care about any of them other than the main villain, wanted to sleep through like 80 % of the movie.
But the last 15 or so minutes were so dope, I can think of like 1 or 2 movies that gave me that level of excitement lol

- Spoiler:
That Vader scene man. Can you imagine how good Luke must have been to take him on? Makes you think.
And the fact Vader probably toyed with Obi Wan.

Character development was bad? All of them had an actual arc. K2SO was the standout, but that was expected. Droids are always amazing

Yea don't understand that either. Loved all the characters.
Was really surprised how different they managed to make K2SO. Felt unique.

It wasn't, but it showed how badass he was relatively in his prime.

Re: Star Wars – Official Canon Thread. - RIP Carrie Fisher
- Spoiler:
Yeah that's true. But to be fair regular soldiers are nothing compared to prime Jedi/Sith. I don't think he toyed with Obi Wan and I think it's good to show the difference between regular soldiers and an actual top class force user. They did that in the TV shows which are canon quite a bit but it's good to have it in movies as well.
But yeah Luke taking on Vader was always an incredibly impressive feat considering he had almost no training and fighting experience at that point. Luke had more potential than Vader (Anakin pre injury had the highest potential of all but he lost some of that along with his arms and legs) and Vader might have been holding back a bit but still.. at that point he really was hardly more than a rookie

Re: Star Wars – Official Canon Thread. - RIP Carrie Fisher
Obi Wan is a better fighter than prime Anakin though, who was probably stronger than Vader. It was probably just rust and old age that got him.
Obi-Wan has the perfect fighting technique to match up against Anakin, and I'm sure he could've been more competitive against Vader if he didn't try to become a force ghost.
Can't wait for another Obi-Wan movie.

Also, I don't think there's a reason to spoiler tag Obi-Wan vs Vader discussions, guys

Not yet. Think it's coming soon. No doubt in my mind that will be the movie in 2020 or 2019 if they start making 2 a year
