Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
Liverpool 4 wins and 2 ties in last 6 matches, and it could be 5 if they didn't bottle it against Leicester at Anfield, they are getting results with a good game too , very deserved victory against Hammers.
Just a curiosity : does LFC fans want still Rodgers out ?

Didn't watch the Arsenal game, but the fact they scored five without Sanchez is a bit scary.
Watched the Soton v Swansea game, though, and the saints created surprisingly little for all their possession. Williams had a fantastic game and Shelvey showed again that he can play, pretty much every Swansea attack started from him and scored a nice goal to win the game, too. This result puts a bit of pressure on Southampton for next weekend's game against QPR.

We were shit until Christmas, one month of good form isn't enough for Rodgers to win me over again. I want to see where we are after our next three PL games against Everton, Tottenham and Southampton and evaluate the situation then.

SAF had a better resume before joining United then Rodgers does now

Art In an era where Liverpool fans are getting ahead of themselves, there remains one voice of rationale

Why not? You clearly place more emphasis on 4 months' poor form than 7 months good/great form, so by that logic 1 month's good form should hold exponentially more sway.

Well don't let the scoreline deceive you, we still have aspects where we need to improve. The fact that a semi fit Özil and a Theo starting his first game in 13 months rekt this team is a testament to how shizz they are, more than anything else. Which is also why Chelsea are going to mop the floor with them next week.
For the first time this season though, we seem to have a good selection headache ahead of the next game, especially if Ox and Alexis make it.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
When Theo Walcott and Hector Bellerin scored it meant Arsenal have 14 different goal scorers on the season in League play. Giroud’s assist was also a landmark of sorts, it means Arsenal have 16 different players who have provided an assist on the season. That’s the most spread out attack of any team in the Premier League, just ahead of Man City who have 11 goalscorers and 15 different playmakers.

to be fair, Art thinks Paul Lambert could be available soon, hence not hedging all his bets on Rodgers
We know it's been a dream of his for 3 years now
It's sensational times that RedO and I are on the same-page almost all the time now regarding the team and the manager situation. it took 5 years, but it's finally here. What a time to be alive

Relegation fodder, our whipping boys, wheels are falling off, badly off-form.
as winnable of a run as any team could possibly wish for.
Just remembered something going through my post history.
It was EXACTLY a year ago today, that I said we could finish top 3 and catch Arsenal at least and were mocked for "delusion" , "not being on my feet", and BlueBarrett quoted me saying:
"Wow, typical Liverpool fan. The top 3 (Arsenal, City, Chelsea) are in a league of their own. You'll be lucky to keep that 4th spot now that Utd have signed Mata. Worry about that first."
Some fans are cowards...some fans are leaders.

When you lads pick 12 points off those four games and finish 2nd in the table though

Sadly, the title is off and 2nd is no different than 17th for me.
Most important priority for me is getting past Besiktas and into next round of FA Cup and Europa League. It's all about giving ourselves as much chances as possible for winning trophies.
Getting league points is a nice bonus and very do-able. We'll find out in 4 weeks how all those pan out. I think we play 7 games in 24 days of February

So you prioritize cups over league?
Well, tbf, you could do a Chelsea and win EL to get into CL next year, but it's in no way an easy road. However, winning league cups and EL isn't putting you on the map as an elite club in current context.

I think most of the fans are on the fence, with few on both the sides.Just a curiosity : does LFC fans want still Rodgers out ? hmm
Personally, I was very, VERY pissed by some of his tactical decisions. Last few weeks have been great. However, I have raised the bar and now want him to make something out of this season.
Frankly, I don't see a manager (available) who can take us to the next level. I just hope, Rodgers understands how much is expected of him and steps-up his efforts.
P.S. good to see you RO

If LFC fans want to win silverware in the near future, then I'm going to have to say yes.

The real question here is can Aston Villa get out of this slump and get back in contention for the Golden boot? It's looking out of reach right now.

I dont mind missing out on trophy in this season if we finish in top 4. But if we finish anything other than top 4, I want preferably Europa but if not Europa then FA Cup would be also nice

I don't mind missing out on Emma Watson if I get some Jennifer Anniston boinking. If I get anything other than that, I want Emma Stone or Sofia Vergara would also be nice.
